If you switch on your Xbox without a cdisk in the drive you'll be met with this above image from the console's dashboard. Select the memory option to proceed.

So above we have the memory screen. It shows you the console, its hard disk, the controllers and any memory cards you have plugged into the system. To copy a save file onto the hard disk, just choose the controller where the memory unit is plugged in and follow the on screens instructions from the Xbox.

The system works in reverse too, so if you want to copy something from your hard drive to the memory unit, select the option to view the console's hard drive.

Games are listed in the fashion shown above, with each individual save appearing as a small globe. To copy it to your memory unit just highlight the save and then press A, you'll be given the option of copying the save to the memory unit. And that's that, simple isn't it?
