XBOX Xploder Cheatsaves

All the frequently asked questions for our XBOX Xploder Cheatsaves software...

Q: When I try and copy saves from my XBOX hard drive to an XBOX Memory Unit, there is no copy function, why is this?

A: Unfortunately this is due to the game itself. Some games will not allow saves to be copied from the XBOX hard drive to a Memory Unit.

Q: I have copied a file across from my PC to my XBOX Memory Unit, but it does not appear to be there. Why is this?

A: Try clicking the ‘Refresh’ button with your mouse. This will refresh the Memory Unit Panel, and your save should show up. If it does not, ensure everything is connected properly, and transfer the save again.

Q: I plugged in my Memory Unit and it was blank, why is this?

A: Plug your Memory Unit into your XBOX controller and check there are saves present. If there are saves present, it could be possible that your Memory Unit is not compatible with Xploder Game Saves. We cannot guarantee full compatibility with all third party Memory Units; Xploder Game Saves supports the Memory Unit supplied with the software, official XBOX Memory Units and Mad Catz XBOX Memory Units.

Q: I've loaded up the software but it can't find a Memory Unit.

A: Make sure you have the supplied cable connected correctly with the Memory Unit attached, and that all the correct drivers are installed. Try re-connecting your Memory Unit and clicking the "Refresh" button on the XBOX Cheatsaves interface.

Q: How do I plug in more than Memory Unit at a time?

A: You cannot. You can only plug in one Memory Unit at any one time.

Q: I am having problems using XBOX Cheatsaves on Windows 95 or 98?

A: These versions of Windows have been known to have issues with USB. The versions of Windows we assure full compatibility with are; Windows 98SE, Windows 2000, Windows ME and Windows XP.

Q: I seem to have various minor problems when running your software.

A: We suggest that if you have Internet access, you should use Windows Updates to update your version of Windows. Microsoft continually develops Windows to improve and fix various issues. We therefore recommend you keep your version of Windows as up to date as possible.

Q: Does it matter which Memory Unit port or which joypad I use on my XBOX?

A: No, you can plug the Memory Unit in any port..

Q: Does it matter which USB port I plug the cable into on the PC?

A: No, you can plug the cable into any USB port.

Q: Can I plug it into a USB2.0/USB Hi-Speed port?

A: Yes, although the cable with Memory Unit attached is a USB1.1 device.

Q: Can I plug the cable into a USB hub?

A: Yes, if you have any problems, try plugging it directly into a USB port on your PC.

Q: I plug it into a hub and it seems to be intermittent/fail to work.

A: Although it should work through a hub, various factors could cause it to be unreliable. If you have any problems, try plugging it directly into a USB port on your PC.

Q: Can I use a USB extension cable?

A: Yes, if you have any problems, try plugging it directly into a USB port on your PC.

Q: Can I plug the cable into the XBOX?

A: No, it's designed to be plugged into a USB port on a PC only.

Q: Will this product cause damage to my Memory Unit?

A: No, it simply writes data to the Memory on the Unit, as if saving via a normal game.

Q: Will I get free upgrades to the software?

A: If necessary upgrade patches will be made available. Keep checking our web site for any information at www.xploder.net

Q: Can I use saves from other sites with Xploder Cheatsaves?

A: No, you can only use saves for Xploder Game Saves from Xploder.

Q: When I try to connect to the Network to download the latest content, it tells me to enter a Product Code. Where can I find this?

A: The Product Code is a 16-digit code that needs to be entered to gain access to the latest Game saves and Cheats. The Product Code can be found on the back of the card that is inside the Tin packaging. The Product Code card looks like this:

Simply copy the 16-digit Product Code from the card and into the relevant field when asked.

Q: When I connect to the Internet side of Xploder Game Saves, will it give out information about my PC or me?

A: No, it will only ask for your username, password, email address and product key. We use this information in order to keep our services and products secure and to provide you with support should you experience any difficulties.
