Choose console settings from the menu, then display options.
Now you will be able to select an appropriate resolution for your monitor. In my case I select the highest resolution my monitor can display, which is 1280x1024. You’ll notice that there’s quite a variety of resolutions on offer, some for 4:3 displays, some for widescreen.

And there you have it, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter running in 1280x1024 on an my PC monitor. Compared to a regular TV, the detail in the graphics you get when moving up to high-definition really does make a difference – especially when trying to snipe a distant enemy.
