The creative director of Assassin"s Creed Revelations, Alexandre Amancio, has revealed some intriguing information about the concluding chapter of Ezio Auditore"s story.
Revelations is not, as some feared, a diluted instalment to tide fans of the series over as they patiently wait for Assassin"s Creed 3. Speaking to Gameinformer, Amancio stressed that Revelations is a standalone game, with six different Ubisoft satellite studios being involved in its production, from Quebec to Sweden. He also talked about the underlying narrative of Revelations. As expected, the game will be the final part of what has become effectively an embedded trilogy in itself — the rise of Ezio Auditore from apprentice to master to mentor. The game will also make good on its title, revealing lots of information about the first civilisation plot-line. Perhaps most interestingly, Amancio described the game as "a nexus" for the series, preparing players for Assassin"s Creed 3, by "setting the record straight, closing all the loops that have been started, that have been left in suspense." To do this, the game will "align the destines of all three major characters of the franchise."
