Yes, that is indeed the world"s first peak at The Beatles Rock Band, as confirmed on Paul McCartney"s official website (via Joystiq). "[It] was a night of firsts and was the unexpected, unannounced world premiere of the images from the coming Beatle Rock Band game which played on vast screens throughout Got To Get You Into My Life," a review of McCartney"s performance at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival explains.

There isn"t much you can make from the footage, other than that the game appears to tone down the more exaggerated caricatures of previous Rock Band installments for more human-looking character models -- makes sense, considering they"re modeling some of the most recognizable faces in pop culture history. Hopefully Harmonix will follow this debut with more footage soon, preferably footage that doesn"t look like it was shot by Paul Greengrass.
