Fresh off its February 19 release of Street Fighter IV, and having already announced Dead Rising 2, Capcom is revisiting another IP that it introduced this generation. Get ready for Lost Planet 2.

Capcom announced the sequel in a trailer on Xbox Live, which went live this morning. Details are sparse, but it looks like we"re in for some radical climate change as the trailer featured melting snows as well as jungles. Continuing the trend begun with Resident Evil 5, Lost Planet will also be adding co-op play along with a Gears of War style cover system.

Jun Takeuchi introduces the game in the debut trailer, and also reveals that he will be the producer. He recently finished work on Resident Evil 5, which will be appearing next month. We"ll let you know as soon as we have the trailer, along with more details.
