Grand Theft Auto IV: The Lost and Damned made it through the Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification unscathed. Much rejoicing from gamers in the land down under. Unfortunately, a whole new group might be angry now.
According to Edge, the controversy stems from the original GTA4 undergoing cuts before it was awarded a classification. With Lost and Damned receiving no cuts at all, critics are wondering about the apparent disparity in the board"s decision-making process.
But as Edge points out, the GTA4 information page shows Rockstar voluntarily editing out content before submission. The title then sailed through the board without any problems. Wonder if Lost and Damned underwent some self-censorship as well?
