Read the Emap Big City Network review of the Blaze Pro Audio System.
Have you ever wished your PSP had a bit more Oooomph in the volume department? Ever wanted to listen to your favourite songs while sat in a park, chilling with your mates? Or do you just want to feel every explosion from the best PSP games and films, if so then the Blaze Pro Audio System is exactly what you’re looking for.
To be honest, we were shocked at just how loud this thing can go. Fitted with stereo speakers and a bass boost system this gadget can smash out a shocking volume. And even better than that is the quality of the audio. Within minutes of hooking it up, we couldn’t help ourselves from scouring around to find old games and listen to their music just to appreciate the finer details we’d missed first time around.
It’s all wrapped up in a sturdy folding carry case design, so that your PSP is safe when you’re on the move. It’s even got a stand built in, allowing you to prop up your ‘handheld’ and just enjoy the quality of a film’s audio from these juicy speakers, married up with the gorgeous view on the PSP’s superb screen. A match made in heaven.
But all this power does come at a price – battery life. If you’ve got the thing turned all the way up, you’ll go through the AAAs like you wouldn’t imagine. However, if you’re using it indoors, you can always hook it up to the PSP’s own charger cable, and run it off the mains.
There’s no denying that the case itself is also pretty bulky, and with a PSP inside, it does weigh a fair bit. But if you’ve got a game crammed with music you love, or if you use your PSP as a portable music player, then you’ll certainly enjoy pumping out some tracks on these quality speakers.
The Pro Audio Sound System also comes with Xploder Music Studio for PSP (worth £9.99) which allows you to: Convert your music CDs into MP3 files.
Search the CD database internet query for album, track and artist details.
Create MP3, AAC and WAV playlists, music folders and more…
Drag your compatible music files from the PC to the PSP
Drag and drop your songs from iTunes into PSP Music Player, Xploder will convert the files and allow you to play them back via the PSP.
