Batman: Arkham Asylum - PS3 Walkthrough

Intensive TreatmentThe game opens with Batman returning the Joker to Arkham Asylum via the Batmobile. Upon arrival, you"ll be greeted by Waren Sharp who currently runs Arkham Asylum. Batman hands the Joker over to Arkham"s personnel who strap him to an upright table on wheels. You"ll take control of the Dark Knight here. Credits will roll as you simply follow the guards as they wheel the Joker into the Asylum. Eventually you"ll arrive just outside the Holding Cells when they refuse to let Batman go any further. Once Batman is lock out of the cells, the Joker makes his escape. During this scene Batman will break into the Holding Cells where you will resume control.

Holding CellsOnce inside the Holding Cells, the Joker"s trap will be sprung. The cells will be unlocked and goons will flood out to ambush Batman. This will act as your tutorial for fighting. Press the Strike button to punch and kick your enemies. You can use the control stick along with this to direct your attacks. The idea being that Batman can fight numerous enemies at once. You can punch one guy, kick another, then elbow a third in rapid succession. Doing so will build up combos which in turn earn you more Experience Points. Experience Points (XP) can be earned which in turn levels Batman up. As he levels up, you"ll be able to upgrade new abilities to become the ultimate avenger.

Defeat the first set of thugs to only be rewarded with another set to beat up. Watch for the lightening bolts to appear over any goon"s head. When they do, it means he"s about to hit you. As soon as you spot this, tap the Counter button to perform a counter attack. This not only prevents you from taking damage, but can also be integrated into a combo to keep it going.

Once you defeat the guards, you"ll be free to move one but you should complete a few Riddles first. Arkham Asylum is littered with 240 "Riddles". Most of these are simply collectibles that you just need to find but some are more riddle-like. Spirits of Arkham, Riddler Trohpies, Joker Teeth, Audio Tapes and others are all considered Riddles. For every thing you find or complete, you"ll be rewarded with XP for you troubles. Gaining extra XP is well worth hunt for these hidden gems. Don"t pass them up.

Begin by simply turning around (away from the direction in which the Joker took off in). There is a ventilation shaft just to the left of the ramp. Know that you can activate Detective Mode and vent shafts will grow orange. Pry the grate from the vent, then Crouch and crawl into the air duct. Here you"ll find your first Riddler Trophy.

Now head up the ramp toward the direction of the Joker. Investigate the guard station on the left to see 3 Joker Teeth toys rattling around on the ground. Target each of them with your Batarang (one at a time for the time being) and destroy them by throwing Batarangs at them. Again, destroying these are part of the Riddler"s Challenge. They also give you XP for breaking them and unlock things. Leave the Holding Cells and enter the Processing Corridor.

Processing CorridorAs you round the first corner take out another set of Joker Teeth hopping around. Proceed down the corridor and defeat the next set of goons then proceed to the intersection and take a left. Smash the set of Joker Teeth as you approach and talk to Eddie Burlow who"s standing in front of a locked door. Afterwards, turn around and head down the opposite way to the right. You"ll be introduced to the Oracle who Batman radios. She"ll act as your informant and keep you up to speed on the outside world. Make your way to the Patient Pacification area.

Patient PacificationTalk to Zach Franklin who"ll inform you that Zsasz has taken a hostage and will fry him if he sees anyone get close to him. Make your way up the stairs to find a balcony overlooking the room with Zsasz. Talk to the guard up here and then use Detective Mode to spot the gargoyles over head. Grapple to the closest gargoyle then continue to Grapple to the one in the very back center of the room. Rotate the camera while perched on the stone creature and look down at Zsasz. When the blue bat symbol appears over Zsasz, Glide Kick him by holding down the Strike button. Batman will swoop down and kick the unsuspecting Zsasz. He"s not out yet though. As soon as you land, press the Crouch button and the Counter button at the same time to execute a Ground Takedown before Zsasz can get up. This will disable Zsasz and save his hostage.

After taking out Zsasz you"ll get a message from the one and only Harley Quinn. Things are getting more serious here. There"s two vent shafts in this room pacification room. Pry open the one to the back first which only opens into a tiny air duct and a Riddler Trophy. Now go pry open the next vent and crawl up the slope. Continue through this duct and you"ll find yet another Riddler Trophy along the way. Eventually you"ll come to the end of the duct, kick it open then drop down to find yourself back in the Processing Corridor. Go to the right and follow Eddie Burlow into the Decontamination area which is now unlocked.

DecontaminationBatarang the 3 sets of Joker Teeth as you follow Burlow. You"ll come to another locked door where people on the other side can be heard screaming due to the Joker Toxin being released. Look up to see a ledge and grapple point above you. Climb up here then move into the toxin room. You"ll be well above the toxin along as you stay on these platforms. Save the first guard who"s hanging from the ledge near you.

Leave No Man Behind
Save the 2 Arkham guards and the inmate from falling into the toxin below to earn this Achievement/Trophy. 

Now, hold the run button down as you head toward the next platform. With this button held down, you"ll automatically jump. Land on the next platform then Grapple up above and save the second guard who"s barely hanging on. Jump and glide to the next platform which is in fact the last one. Here you"ll find an inmate hanging from the ledge.

Turn your Detective Mode on and below you at the lower lever. You"re looking for the two fans which are turned off. In between them is the power switch (follow the highlighted cables). Target this power switch with your batarang and throw one at it to turn the power back on.

With the fans running again, they will ventilate the room and clear it of Joker Toxin. Hop down into the room once it"s clear and smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth strewn about. Look for the grated flooring in one of the alcoves. You can lift up the grate and crawl underneath to collect another Riddler Trophy.

Secure Treatment TransferLeave the Decontamination area and follow the green arrows along the floor of the Transfer Loop. Be sure to smash the 2 sets of Joker Teeth on your way to the Secure Treatment Transfer. You"ll find the Joker in here and be introduced to one of his new goons.

BOSS: Deformed Henchman
Here the Joker will release one of his mutated goons on you. This monstrosity is twice the size of Batman and twice the strength. You can"t simply run up and start punching and kicking him. This creature will eat Batman for lunch if he"s not smart about this fight.

Keep your distance from the deformed thug. The most important thing to know how to do here, is to Evade. Double tap the Run button and press a direction to make Batman dive out of the way. This will prove to be invaluable throughout the game. If the creature happens to pick up a body from the ground, be ready to dive out of the way as it will hurl the limp body at you. Square up with the beast from a distance. When it starts to run at you, Quick Throw a batarang (double tap the Aim button) at its face then quickly dive out of the way. The thug will cover his eyes and then run right into a wall. This will damage him quite a bit and stun him for a short time. Run towards him to deliver a quick 3 to 5 hit combo then quickly dart away. The creature will regain focus and slam the ground causing a radial shockwave around him.

Put some distance between you and him again and repeat this strategy until he falls down for good.
 

Once you have defeated the hulking goon, you"ll hear a guard calling to you from a nearby guard station. Before you go to him however, visit the opposite guard station and grab the Riddler Trophy from within. Now go talk to the guard where you"ll learn that the Joker has captured Commissioner Gordon using one of Arkham"s own men, Boles.

Boles" TrailBatman needs to rescue Gordon before hunting down the Joker. Leave the Secure Treatment Transfer and use the Transfer Loop to make your way back to the Holding Cells (where you first met up with Gordon). Enter the control room and use your Detective Mode to search for a clue. While in this mode, the clue will be highlighted to make it easier to see. The clue you"ll find here is Bole"s flask. Scan the flask by holding down Run while in Detective Mode. This will analyze the flask and pick up the scent of bourbon left behind.

While in Detective Mode, you can see further traces of Bole"s alcoholic scent. Follow these scents down through the Transfer Loop. At the end of the Transfer Loop, before you enter the Secure Transit area, you"ll find a reception desk and 3 sets of Joker Teeth chattering around. Once you"ve smashed them, head into the Secure Transit section. Here you"ll trigger another cutscene in which Quinn drops an elevator on you. Talk to Henry (the guard you saved from the elevator) and then head up the stairs into the small office to collect the Harley Quinn Patient Interview Tape #1 on the desk here.

Head back down to the ground level and then look up. Use you Grapple Gun to climb the elevator shaft above you. Grapple and shimmy your way up the shaft. You"ll eventually reach a small passage you"ll need to crawl through. Look for the square along the wall in here with a beetle symbol surrounded by strange text. Scan this (hold the Detective Mode button) to acquire the first Chronicle of Arkham message.

Now, Grapple up to the final ledge above and you"ll spot five enemy goons just hanging around. Know that two of these thugs are carrying lead pipes. Climb up and quickly engage the inmates. Watch out for their attacks (lightening bolts over their heads) and counter attack them when they do. Take them all out then smash the single set of Joker Teeth with a Batarang. Continue through the air duct to enter the Cell Block Transfer section.

When you pop out of the other end of the air duct, you"ll find three inmates armed with guns around the next corner. You can see them while in Detective Mode. Engaging enemies with firearms head on is essentially suicide. Batman"s got to use his brain and stealth to his advantage. Grapple up to the gargoyles over head. Continue to grapple to the last gargoyle in the back of the room behind the arms thugs. Drop down to the ground behind them and hold the Crouch button to sneak up behind the first goon. When close enough and with the Crouch button pressed, tap the Counter button to preform a silent takedown. Repeat this for the next two suspecting fools.

Now, sneak your way up the stairs to the fourth enemy who"s inside a security room. Sneak up behind him and use Silent Takedown to disable him. Crawl through the vent here to enter the Intensive Treatment Lobby.

Intensive Treatment LobbyCrawl out of the vent here and while crouching, sneak up behind the inmate patrolling the area in front of you and use the Silent Takedown on the fool. Quickly Grapple up to a gargoyle overhead. This will allow you to get a lay of the land. Use Detective Mode to scope out the remaining two enemies in the room. You can Grapple around this room from gargoyle to gargoyle to get better vantage points. When the goons are separated, either Glide Kick and then Ground Takedown them or perform an Inverted Takedown if have gotten that upgrade.

Once you"ve taken out these initial enemies, the Joker will send in 3 more armed inmates. When dealing with these armed baddies, the idea is to always pick them off one by one. Drop down, take out one, then Grapple back up into the shadows above. Once you"ve cleared the room successfully, head into the offices in the middle and pick up the Harley Quinn Patient Interview Tape #2 from the desk. Now proceed to the far side of the room and up the ladder to the raise hallway. Smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth up here. Approach the end of the hallway to find the body of Boles.

Batman will now receive a message from the Riddler. He"ll challenge Batman to solve all the "riddles" he"s littered Arkham Asylum with. The first one he challenges you with can be solved right here in this hallway.

Don"t cut yourself on this sharply observed portrait.
Head back towards the ladder and look up to the left to spot the portrait hanging on the wall of Warden Sharp. Hold the Detective Mode button down to scan the area while looking at this wall hanging to effectively solve this riddle.
Solving this first riddle will trigger a William North, an Asylum gaurd, to unlock the door to the Utility Corridor for you. Don"t head that way yet, there"s one more riddle to solve here.

A puzzle has many sides, but only some are visible.
With Detective Mode on, look around the windows of the offices in the middle of the Intensive Treatment Lobby. You"re looking to put together a "?". Its body will be separated from the dot. Find the body on a window of the office then move the camera around until you"ve lined up the dot on the wall just underneath the body. When it looks like a "?" scan it by holding down the Detective Mode button to complete this riddle.
Now enter the the Utility Corridor that the guard, William North, opened for you.

You don"t know jack about Gotham. Tune in to find out.
When you enter the locker room, listen for the sound of a radio and find it. Go into first person view and look at the dial on the radio and locate the name Jack Ryder. Scan this to complete the riddle.
Find the small room at the end of the locker room. Crawl through the vent here to find you way outside.

Arkham IslandArkham EastFollow the narrow passage and Grapple up to the ledge above. Approach the cliff to get a nice vantage point of Arkham Island. Glide down to the guards near the archway and talk to Louie Green. After the conversation you"ll over hear the Joker command all the nearby thugs to go destroy the batmobile. After his announcement, the Oracle will update your Arkham Island map and point out the location of the Batmobile which is in Arkham North (your in East at the moment). Before you run off to save your vehicle however, you should take a few moments to solve some of this area"s riddles to gain some XP.

Go to the cliffs to the right of the archway and pick up the Riddler Trophy from the ledge here. Turn around and now find the guard tower just past the archway. Grapple up here and pick up the Joker"s Patient Interview Tape #1.

Go stand in front of the mansion and look at its main entrance. Around to the left you"ll find a walled in area. Climb over this wall to find an enclosed courtyard. There is a Chronicle of Arkham inside, along the right side of the courtyard. Now run to the back. Grapple up into the archway above and pick up the Riddler Trophy behind the pillar. Now Grapple out and up to the rooftop directly above this last trophy. Up on the roof here you"ll find the next Riddler Trophy.

Grapple up the clock tower from here. On the highest level, on the west side you"ll find another Riddler Trophy (this will unlock the Victor Zsasz character trophy).

Gotham"s greatest family towers over the city.
Look across the water from the clock tower towards Gotham City. Go into first person view and look for the Wayne tower along the skyline. It is the building with the "W" on it. Scan the tower to solve this riddle.
My challenges appear to those with the correct position in life.
On the top ledge of the clock tower, look down and to the south. Use Detective Mode to see the body of the question mark is on the roof below. The dot is on the ledge of the platform. Line the two up and scan them to complete this riddle.
Now drop down onto the rooftop below by the giant question mark. To the right you"ll find yet another Riddler Trophy.

Make your way over to the cemetery in between the Botanical Gardens and the Arkham Mansion. Enter the small shack in the cemetery and pick up the Riddler Trophy from within (this unlocks the Frank Boles character trophy). Now run to the back of the cemetery and pick up the Riddler Trophy hidden in the tall grass.

On your way out of the cemetery, you can solve this area"s riddle.

The legacy of this island has been well and truly buried.
Near the cemetery entrance, you"ll find a light up tombstone with Amadeus Arkham carved onto it. Scan this headstone to complete this riddle.
Head around past the gardens building towards the entrance to Arkham North. Climb up to the very top of the guard tower on the right and pick up the Riddler Trophy here (this unlocks the Blackgate Prisoners character trophy).

Once you"ve solved all the riddles you possibly can at this point, it"s time to go protect the batmobile.

Protect the BatmobileMake your way towards Arkham North (use the map for guidance). There"s a small connecting area in between Arkham East and North you"ll have to pass through. When you enter the smaller area, you"ll see an ambulance and a guard taking cover behind it. Use your Detective Mode to spot the two armed inmates on the other side. You do not want to engage them head-on of course. Make your way to the back of the ambulance and Grapple up to the ledge above the goons. Drop down the back side of this ledge behind the thugs and Crouch. Sneak up and perform a Silent Takedown on both thugs.

Once you"ve taken out these two inmates, head into the Arkham North area. Run up the hill towards the batmobile and the thugs thrashing it. Quick Throw some batarangs as you rush them and jump kick into the middle of the group. From the middle of them it"s easier to combo around in a circle. Of course, if you see lightening bolts over one of their heads, Counter them before they hit you. Defeat all the thugs here to successfully protect the batmobile. Once the area is cleared, search the trunk of the batmobile to collect the Explosive Gel.

This new device allows you spray a surface with gel that you can then detonate. There are tons of breakable walls and floors that you can use the gel on to destroy and clear the path. Use Detective Mode to spot these blue transparent surfaces with the orange explosive symbol on them. Another fun tactic to employ during stealth combat is to down an enemy, then quickly spray the ground with the gel where the enemy lies. Now disappear and wait for his fellow goons to investigate his body. When they are around it, detonate the gel to knock them out.

Arkham NorthOnce you"ve saved the batmobile and acquire the Explosive Gel from the trunk, it"ll be time to do a bit of detective work. Use Detective Mode around the batmobile to spot the pipe Commissioner Gordon dropped. Scan the pipe to acquire its scent so that you may track it. The trail will lead you to Arkham West, but it"s not time to go there just yet. There"s a few riddles to be solved here in Arkham North first.

Just north of the batmobile on the stone road, you"ll find a breakable square along the ground (use Detective Mode to easily see it). Set Explosive Gel on this square then detonate it to reveal a Riddler Trophy to collect.

Now hop onto the building just to the right of the batmobile and blow a hole in the weak portion of the ceiling. Drop in and pick up the Secrets Map. This will fill in your in-game map with floating question marks around where unsolved riddles are. Note that some of them will require other devises to collect so we won"t be able to get all of them just yet.

Climb up into the guard tower on the left and you"ll find Joker"s Patient Interview Tape #2 on the desk. Now Grapple up to the roof of this guard tower and pick up the Riddler Trophy up here.

Drop down and Grapple onto the roof of the other guard tower. Look north and you will see another trophy on a plateau ahead of you. You cannot grapple to it, you can only Glide to it. So, Glide to the plateau from the roof of the guard tower and collect the Riddler Trophy from this hard to reach spot.

Head to the half destroyed building building to the northwest of this area. Inside the building on the ground level tucked away in a corner you"ll find another Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Aaron Cash character trophy). From here, face north and Grapple up to the second level and scan the Chronicle of Arkham tablet here.

Now I see it, now you don"t!
On the ground near the Chronicle of Arkham you just got, you"ll find an archway of this ruined building. With your Detective Mode on, stand just outside the building and look up. Here you"ll see the body of a question mark on the underside of the top of the archway. Line this up with the dot which is on the ceiling above it. Once you"ve lined it up, scan this question mark to solve this riddle.
Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee saw it, can you see it?
To the very north of this area you"ll find the gated entrance to Arkham Asylum. Just to the right of it is a see-saw. Scan this to solve the riddle.
Head back down towards the Intensive Treatment building and Grapple onto the roof along the west side of it. Here you"ll find another Riddler Trophy (this will unlock the Warden Quincy Sharp character trophy) near the middle of the roof.

Once you"ve "solved" all these riddles, it"s time to get to follow Gordon"s trail. Use Detective Mode to follow the pipe smoke from the batmobile to the doors leading to Arkham West. These will be locked but just to the right of it is a breakable wall. Spray the wall with the Explosive Gel and detonate it to clear a path. Follow this tunnel to the door and enter Arkham West.

Arkham WestMake your way down the down the corridor and out into the Arkham North area. Turn around and Grapple up to the ledge above the door you just came through to find another Riddler Trophy. From this perch, spot the two Blackgate prisoners ahead of you. Glide Kick down to drop one then quickly perform a Ground Takedown on him. The other prisoner is likely to attack you during this so tap the Counter button to make him eat fist.

Do you see what I can see? No? Then maybe I am in a stronger position.
Grapple up to the balcony above the entrance to the Penitentiary. In Detective Mode, look down to see the body of the question mark. You"ll need to line this up with the dot which is on a railing of the balcony. Line it up the scan it to solve this riddle.
Head to the guard tower in front of the Penitentiary and directly underneath it you"ll find another Riddler Trophy. To the left of the guard tower you"ll find a small ravine where a waterfall is located. On the floor of this ravine is a Riddler Trophy. Head back under the guard tower towards the waterfront. By the docks, directly in front of the Penitentiary, you"ll be able to Grapple up to a breakable wall and then use the Explosive Gel to reach the Chronicle of Arkham behind it.

Find the small shack on the dock and pick up Joker"s Patient Interview Tape #3 from within. Now Grapple onto the roof of this shack to pick up another Riddler Trophy.

It"s now time to resume tracking Gordon"s trail. In Detective Mode, follow the tobacco signatures to the Medical Facility. There"s six Blackgate prisoners standing guard here. Toss a batarang or two to get things started then rush in and attack the others. Defeat the goons using combos and then smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth with batarangs.

Step into the Medical Facility to trigger a small scene with Harley Quinn. You"ll be locked out and need to find another way inside. Head back outside and Grapple up to the roof of the Medical Facility. Make your way around the outer edge of the roof along the waterfront side. On the southwestern side of the roof you"ll find another Riddler Trophy sitting in plain sight (this will unlock the batmobile character trophy).

Flip your Detective Mode on and go to the opposite side of the roof and to find the breakable wall. Blow it up with the Explosive Gel and then enter the Medical Facility.

Medical FacilityMaintenance AccessOnce inside the Maintenance Access of the Medical Facility, hop the fence and head into the next room. Crawl through the air duct located in here. Follow the vents to a fork in the shaft. Go right to collect a Riddler Trophy then go back and take the other direction. Follow the ventilation system to the Sanatorium.

SanatoriumIn this room you"ll find five gun wielding prisoners who are holding a group of doctors hostage. From the ventilation shaft, crawl to the right. Use your Detective Mode to keep an eye on all the enemies. Don"t down into the small behind the breakable wall with an inmate standing in front of it. Spray Explosive Gel on the back side of the wall then Grapple up to the gargoyles above. There"s another enclosed room opposite of this one with a breakable ceiling and another inmate underneath. Spray some gel here then Grapple back up to the gargoyles and then detonate the gels to take out those two enemies.

The remaining three thugs will wander around the Sanatorium at random. You"ll need to be patient and pick them off one at a time. Once you"ve cleared the room of enemies, go talk to the doctors. Now it"s time to solve some riddles.

In the small room with the breakable ceiling, grab Riddler"s Patient Interview Tape #1 from the desk. Drop down to the lowest level of the Sanatorium and smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth chattering around. Destroy the southeast breakable wall here and collect the Riddler Trophy from behind it.

Remain on the lowest level and head up to the northwest portion of this area.

Tick! Tock! News flash! Someone is not getting out of here alive.
In the northwest lowest level of the Sanatorium you"ll find a broken cell littered with bones. Scan the cell to solve this riddle.
There is a breakable floor along the west wall of the second level here (almost in the middle). Destroy this floor and drop down to find a Chronicle of Arkham on the wall of this vent system.

A question can only be answered from a new perspective? Don"t you agree?
There is another breakable section of floor on the second level. This one can be blown open and looks down at the lowest floor. Use Detective Mode to see the question mark along the rim of the hole. There"s a dot on the floor below at a slanted angle. Line the two up and scan them to complete this riddle.
For those how want to get to the mission at hand, drop down to the lowest level of the Sanatorium and then head through the doors to the north to enter the Upper Corridor. Those who want some XP via a couple of riddles, head through the door to the south which is located on the second level of the room and head into the Medical Foyer.

Medical FoyerIs the generosity of out benefactors on the Wayne?
Go to the southern section of this hallway to find the front desk in disarray (this is where you just ran into Quinn). Find the plaque on the wall here with Wayne"s name on it and scan it to solve the riddle (this will unlock the Alfred Pennyworth character trophy).
You"ll also find Riddler"s Patient Interview Tape #2 on the desk Harley Quinn was sitting at earlier. Once you"ve solved both riddles, head back through the Sanatorium and then into the Upper Corridor.

Upper CorridorThe Upper Corridor leads to you to three separate areas and has three different colored lines leading to each. First follow the yellow line straight ahead towards the X-Ray Room. Use your Detective Mode to spot the three thugs around the final corner of the hallway. Take Corner Cover by crouching near the corner plus pressing Run. Target the goons with a batarang or two (depending on your upgrades) and then throw some and rush the prisoners and take them out. Now enter the X-Ray Room.

X-Ray RoomHere you"ll find five armed Blackgate prisoners holding Dr. Young hostage inside a small room in the middle of the larger one. Use your Detective Mode to see them through the walls and to see the breakable walls. Spray Explosive Gels on wall in front of you and then move around to the left to find another one to spray. Don"t detonate the gel until you"ve applied gel to both walls. Now blast the walls down to take out all five goons at the same time.

Step inside to talk to Dr. Young. Now Grapple onto the roof of this room to collect the Riddler Trophy in the center. Now step back out into the Upper Corridor.

Surgery RoomMake your way back through the Upper Corridor. Along the way you"ll find a Joker present. It"ll burst open as you near it and give you 3 sets of Joker Teeth: to smash with a batarang. Keep an eye along the right wall for a ventilation shaft. Crawl inside and you"ll find a Riddler Trophy to collect. Now follow the red line on the floor to the Surgery room.

Enter Surgery to find Dr. Chen strapped to a table. Of course this is a trap. Blackgate prisoners will drop down into the room and you"ll need to fight your way through them. Watch out as they might pull something from the wall and use it as a weapon. Weapon wielding enemies can block so use your Cape Stun to create an opening so you can attack them. Once you"ve defeated all the enemies, Dr. Chen will be freed.

Shhhhsshh! Rumors persist that Tommy Elliot operates in Arkham. Can it be true?
Grapple up to the balcony above Surgery and find the white board on the wall with the night shift schedule. Written on it. Go into first person view and then scan the board to solve this riddle.
Make you way back out into the Upper Corridor.

Patient ObservationYou"ll find another box from the Joker just outside Surgery. It"ll burst open with another 3 sets of Joker Teeth:. Smash them with batarangs and now make your way to Observation (follow the blue line). Be sure to take Corner Cover at the last corner so that you can throw a batarang at the inmates guarding the door. Rush the other and introduce him to your foot. Take them both out then enter Observation.

Again, you"ll see two more Blackgate inmates in front of you. Batarang one or both of them then run up and finish them off. Aaron Cash and Dr. Kellerman are locked in a room you can see into. The Joker released Joker Toxin on the other side however so they are trapped in there. Look up above and Grapple to the air ducts high above. Crawl through the vent here to enter the main observation along the ceiling. As you can see it"s filled with Joker Toxin. You"ll need to activate three fans in total here. Each fan you activate will lower the toxin more.

More around to the right and look back to the left under your platform. Use Detective Mode here to help spot these control panels to the fans. Throw a batarang at this first here to turn the fan on. Now run and jump to the next platforms as they are revealed by the lowering toxin. Go to the back of the room and out onto the platform to the back middle. Turn around the hit then control panel under the last platform you jumped from. This will lower the toxin even more. Now turn around and batarang the rope that the goon is hanging from. He"ll fall and smash the roof of small room below him. Hop over the last platform and use a batarang to hit the final fan control inside this small room. Now that the toxin is completely clear, Cash and Dr. Kellerman will be freed.

Was this fire fly too hot off the press?
Enter the small room that you drop the inmate through and scan the newspaper clippings taped to the cabinet door to solve this puzzle.
Now go into the control room that Cash was stuck in. Collect Riddler"s Patient Interview Tape #3 from the table in here. Step back out and Grapple on top of this room. There are 3 sets of Joker Teeth: in this area. One on top of this office and the other two are by each of the first two fan control panels.

SanatoriumIt"s now time to make your way back to the Sanatorium. Along the Upper Corridor you"ll encounter another present from the Joker. This one however also contains a knife wielding con. Use the Cape Stun to break his blocks and then beat the snot out of him. Smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth that popped out of the box and then head back to the Sanatorium.

Reenter the Sanatorium to trigger a small scene with Dr. Young and Cash. Your conversation will be cut short by some Blackgate prisoners who appear. Pick them off one by one when they separate from each other. Once you"ve taken all three out, walk over to the elevator, smash the 2 sets of Joker Teeth, and then get into the elevator.

DaydreamerAfter the short elevator ride down, you"ll trigger a small cutscene which will hint at the upcoming villain. You"ll be locked out so you"ll need to find another way in. Use your Detective Mode to find the breakable wall to the left. Blow it open and follow this passage around to the Lower Corridor. Keep following the only available path and you"ll soon find the body of Commissioner Gordon. Continue down the Lower Corridor and enter the Morgue at the end.

Explore the empty morgue and then leave the morgue only to find yourself still in the morgue. Examine all three body bags that are now on the center tables. After another brief scene, you"ll find the morgue has had a bit of a make over. Make your way out onto the various shards of the Medical facility. As you hop out onto the furthest one, the towering Scarecrow will appear. His intense gaze will kill you instantly and you"ll need to avoid it at all costs.

Scarecrow will float in the middle of the platforms and spin in a clockwise motion searching for you with his evil gaze. You need to make your way around in a counter-clockwise motion jumping from platform to platform and taking cover to avoid his sight. Watch the Scarecrow carefully and time your sprints to each piece of cover just after he passes you. You"ll need to crouch behind half walls as well.

You"ll eventually need to run and cling to a small ledge and shimmy around this column. Don"t pull yourself up until the Scarecrow"s gaze passes by again. Continue around and you"ll soon find yourself standing behind a column of drawers from the morgue. To your right is a breakable wall. Stay behind the shelter until his gaze passes then dart out and spray the wall with some Explosive Gel. Now run back to cover and detonate it. This will attract the attention of the Scarecrow who swing around and peer around the column. Remain calm and behind the cover. When he goes to peer around the left side, make a break for the next platform which you cleared the way for with the gel. Quickly climb up to the higher platforms, of course taking cover when needed. In the end you need to run out to the bat signal at the end of the platform and point it at the Scarecrow to defeat him and wake up.

MorgueAfter defeating the Scarecrow, you"ll awake inside the Morgue.

What silent killer of the oceans can be found in a tiny jar?
Look for the clear jar on the tray near the tables in the middle. Move around so you can see the words "The Great White Shark" written on the side of the jar and scan it to complete this riddle.
Now you can leave the Morgue.

Lower CorridorFollow the green spray painted arrows down the hallways. You"ll discover that Scarecrow"s poison had you believe something that wasn"t real. Proceed to follow the arrows. As you approach the spray painted door, more goons will pop out at you. Take the three thugs out (remember to Cape Stun the knife wielding one). Follow the arrows up the small set of stairs, smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth and then enter the Experimental Chamber.

Experimental ChamberMake your way down the narrow hallway here as the Joker makes you a deal. Grab the Secrets Map from the table.

Is this bear the bane of his life?
Scan the teddy bear found on the table to complete this riddle.
Now pry the vent cover from the air duct on the right and crawl through it. There are four armed Blackgate prisoners on the lower level and Harley Quinn up in the office over looking the rest of the room. You need to take out all four thugs silently without any of them being alerted and then take down Quinn. Two prisoners will be standing in place while the other two will patrol the area. Keep Detective Mode on so you can keep an eye on the wandering goons.

Crawl through the vents and you"ll pop out near the motionless thugs. Perform a Silent Takedown on the nearest one then crawl through the vent opposite of you to get behind the other motionless enemy. Pick up the Riddler Trophy in the vent then take the second thug down. Needless to say, you should be crouching at all times in here. You still have two more prisoners to take out. Watch their walking patterns and sneak up behind each of them separately and take them out.

With all four enemies down, it"s now time to go after Harley and save Gordon. Head up the stairs to the south and Grapple onto the roof of the office. Pick up the Riddler Trophy here (unlocks the Silent Knight challenge map) then stand on the glass ceiling and take Harley Quinn out.

BOSS: Bane
After the cutscene you"ll have to face off against Bane who was set as a trap for Batman by the Joker. Bane has two main attacks; he"ll tear a chunk of the wall out and hurl it at you or he"ll charge at you like a bull and attempt to run you over. If you haven"t learned how to Evade yet, you best learn it quickly (double tap Run and press a direction). This will make Batman dive out of the way.
If you look at Bane"s health bar in the upper right hand corner of the screen, you"ll notice it is broken into 3 sections. The idea being that you lower his health and empty a section of his health bar, then pull a hose out of his backpack device which will prevent him from regaining that health. How do you weaken him though?

Facing Bane head on is a suicide mission. Instead keep you distance and wait for him to charge you. You"ll know when he"s about to charge when you see him flex and hunch forward. When he does this, Quick Throw a batarang at him when he starts his run then dive out of the way. This will blind him and he"ll run right into the wall. This takes about half a section"s health away and stuns him. However Bane is still deadly when stunned. He"ll stumble around blinding swinging his arms and it"s best to keep your distance until a health section is empty. Repeat this action the next time he charges you. When you see that a portion of his meter is empty, quickly rush at him and tap the Strike button. Batman will jump onto Bane"s back and pull a hose out of him. With one down, you only have two more to go.

The Joker however is not going to make this easy on you. Once you pull the first hose, he"ll order some Blackgate prisoners to join in the fight. This complicate things quite a bit. You actually want to focus on taking all these enemies out before reengaging Bane. However, he"s not just going to wait around. Bane will continue his cycle of throwing rocks at you and charging at you. You just need to keep an eye on him and dodge his incoming attacks while you take out the inmates. The good news is, Bane"s attacks can and often do hurt the other enemies. Get him to help you clear the room by luring him through a crowd of prisoners while you dive out of the way.

Once you"ve taken out all the Blackgate prisoners, return your full attention to Bane. Watch for his charge and batarang him in the face then dive out of the way. Empty the second health bar section by letting him run into the wall then charge in yourself and rip out the second hose.

After the second hose has been removed, Joker will command more thugs to join the fight. Repeat your strategy from before and focus on them first while avoiding Bane. Once they have been cleared, run Bane into the wall a few times and then rip out that final hose to defeat him and trigger another scene.
 
Arkham Island, Part 2Arkham WestAfter the battle with Bane you"ll find yourself back in Arkham West standing on the docks. Make your way towards Arkham North. There will be a couple of groups of enemies along the way. Beat the snot out of them then proceed into the passage way that leads to the northern part of Arkham Island. Smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth: in here and then enter Arkham North.

Arkham NorthMake your way around to the east side of the Intensive Treatment building and then cut south along the side of it. You"ll find a tunnel here that will lead you to "Dead Man"s Point" but before you head down it, Grapple up to the ledge above, and collect the Riddler Trophy from the alcove up here. Drop back down and head into the tunnel. Grapple up to the ledge above the broken ladder and scan the Chronicle of Arkham here.

Follow the passage through the door and into a larger room that features a pile of bones in the middle. Use your Detective Mode to locate a breakable wall and use the Explosive Gel to destroy it so you can collect the Riddler Trophy from behind it. Continue to the ledge where a small scene will be trigger. Batman will leap off the ledge and enter the Batcave.

CavesThe BatcaveRun through the passage and Glide to the center platform of the Batcave. Approach the computer on the upper level to trigger a scene. After the scene you"ll be given a new gadget, the Batclaw. The batclaw can be use to attach to vents, objects, or even enemies. Once you"ve attached to something interactive, you can pull on it. This means you can open vents that are located off the ground by pulling the cover off from them. Another fun trick is to find an enemy near a ledge and use the batclaw to pull them off it.

Go back down to the lower platform and look to the north. Use the Batclaw to pull the crates from the opposite platform and then jump to and enter the Old Sewer at the end.

Old SewerFollow this passage around to find yourself on a narrow ledge. Look up and use the Batclaw again to pull the vent off the wall above you. Grapple into this air duct and crawl through. Turn left when you drop out of the vent and sneak up behind the Blackgate prisoner and take him out. Now turn around and find the Chronicle of Arkham near the air duct and scan it.

Make your way around the bend to find a small group of prisoners. Fight your way through them and defeat them all. Pick up Killer Croc Patient Interview Tape #1 from the ground just ahead. Use the Batclaw to pull the vent from the wall above and climb in to collect the Riddler Trophy. If you step around the corner to the south here and attempt to open the door, you"ll trigger a tiny scene foreshadowing a future showdown.

Now head to the north. Before you destroy the Joker Teeth on the ground, turn to left of the first set of teeth and destroy the wall with gel so that you can collect the Riddler Trophy. Batarang the 3 sets of Joker Teeth along this corridor. Go through the door at the end.

Main Sewer JunctionHere you"ll find yourself in a massive chamber filled with decrepit columns, archways, and platforms. You cannot use your grapple in very many places heres as most of the surfaces are not strong enough to support your weight. You"ll need to navigate this chamber the old fashion way; a lot of jumping and climbing.

Begin by following the ledge around to the right. Climb into the hollowed out column and jump to the platforms to the west. Jump to the farthest one and collect the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Bane character trophy) from behind the last column. Jump back to the previous platforms and then one further to the east. Turn north and jump to the next ledge. Cling to the almost red glowing lip of the column to your left. Shimmy around to the left and climb up into the inside of the column to collect another Riddler Trophy. Crouch and climb down by pressing the Run button then shimmy back around the platform. Jump to the next platform where you"ll find and want to smash the 2 sets of Joker Teeth here.

Make your way up along the knocked over column. Jump to the platform with the running water and then jump to the small hollowed out column directly in front of you to pick up yet another Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Sewer Bat challenge map). Jump back to the water platform and then climb up the second knocked over column. At the top, cling onto the small ledge to the left and shimmy around the upright column. Climb up into it along the back side and pick up the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Commissioner Gordon character trophy) here.

A Puzzle has many sides but only some are visible.
While standing in the column where you just picked up the previous trophy, turn your Detective Mode on and swoop the camera around to look to the west and up. You will be able to see the body of the question mark on the underside of an archway above you and the dot will be on the lip of the broken wall you are looking through. Line them up and Scan them to complete this riddle.

Shimmy back around and then jump to the platform to the south. Ignore the trophy to the right, you can"t reach it just yet. Follow the passage here to the east and smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth along the way. Enter the door at the end.

Surface AccessAs soon as you step into this area, you"ll see Killer Croc"s Patient Interview Tape #2 sitting on the crate to the left. Pick it up and then proceed to follow this passage to the breakable wall at the end. Blow it open, jump over the hole, then exit the caves through the door.

Arkham Island, Part 3Arkham NorthYou"ll emerge from the caves on the upper level of the half destroyed building. Turn you Detective Mode on to scope out the area before you do anything. The are now snipers in both guard towers and a group of goons on the ground in front of Intensive Treatment. Grapple up to the closest guard tower and sneak up behind the sniper and perform a Silent Takedown. Get onto the roof and watch the other sniper. When he"s looking the other way Glide to the stairs of his guard tower and then sneak up and take him out silently as well. Now feel free to drop down and take out the four thugs on the ground. Note that one of them wields two knives which means you cannot Counter him or just hit him normally, he"ll always block it. Either Cape Stun him to stun him and then Strike him or build up a combo and then perform a Special Takedown on him.

Head towards Arkham East and destroy the 3 sets of Joker Teeth in front of the exit. Now enter Arkham East.

Arkham EastMake your way through the connecting tunnel and defeat the Blackgate prisoners that ambush you by the ambulance. Head into the main area of Arkham East. Note that there"s 4 snipers here now. Grapple up to the guard tower on the left and silently dispatch the guard here. Watch the guard in the next tower and Glide over and then climb up to take him out next. Now look across to the Arkham Mansion. There"s two snipers on a ledge above the entrance. Make you way over there doing a wide turn to avoid their line of sight. Grapple up to the ledge and hand from it. Perform a Vertical Takedown on one guard and then take the last one out be whatever means you see fitting.

Drop down and smash the 2 sets of Joker Teeth in front of the main entrance of the mansion. This entrance is locked however. Go to the left of the entrance and use "Detective Mode" to spot the breakable ground in front of the walled off courtyard. Set some Explosive Gel on the ground here and detonate it so you can collect the Riddler Trophy. Grapple back up to the sniper"s ledge and then use the Batclaw to pull open the air duct above. Climb through this vent and enter the mansion.

Arkham MansionMansion Entrance HallYou"ll enter the mansion up in the rafters of the tall hall. Use Detective Mode to spy on the three thugs down below. Notice that one of them has a gun. Use your Batarang to target the armed goon and then drop down to begin attacking the others. Defeat all three to clear the room. Go down the stairs towards the electronic barrier and turn around to the left. You"ll find a vent next to the stairs. Pry it open then crawl into it to find a Riddler Trophy.

Grapple up to stand on the air vents above (behind the statue). Look up and pull down the vent cover from the ceiling and then Grapple up into this small room above. Destroy the breakable wall here and then scan the Chronicle of Arkham. Crawl through the vent here and drop into the next area.

Main HallBelow you will be a horde of thugs. Grapple to a gargoyle and the Glide Kick down to knock one over and make your grand entrance. Combo around to them all. Never hit the same one twice in a row. Keep switching targets. Defeat all the thugs to clear the room.

Who is the main man in the main hall?
Once you"ve taken out all the goons here, step into the small off shoot room to the right and Scan the picture of Commissioner Gordon on the wall.
In the middle of this hall you"ll find a tall statue. Pull the grate off the base of the statue and crawl inside to collect a Riddler Trophy. Behind the statue (up the stairs) you"ll find 3 sets of Joker Teeth (one is inside a small guard station, pry the vent off to get inside). Do the same for the opposite guard station and collect Scarecrow"s Patient Interview Tape #1.

Now stand in the center and look up. Behind the statue you"ll see a ledge high in the ceiling. Grapple up here and Scan the Chronicle of Arkham you find. Drop back down and enter the door to the north west.

West Wing CorridorSneak up behind the prisoner who"s holding two guards hostage by the stairs in front of you. Take him out to trigger a small scene revealing the Suicide Collars. Enemies will now be wearing these collars which will sound an alarm when you knock them out and attract the attention of the others. You need to be aware of this device in the invisible predator portions of the game. Note though that you can use this to your advantage and lure other enemies into traps. After the scene, head to the west and enter the next room.

Arkham Records RoomHere you"ll find Aaron Cash and another security guard who have both been taken hostage. There are 6 armed enemies wandering about this room. Use you Detective Mode to keep an eye on them. Grapple up to the gargoyles to get a lay of the land. Begin picking them off one by one. Be sure that they are alone when you take one out. Pick them off one by one until the area has been cleared and then free Cash the guard.

Use the Batclaw to pull the grate off the vent by the southern electrical barrier. Crawl through this air duct and then drop into the room and pick up Scarecrow"s Patient Interview Tape #2. Head to the far west of this records room and on the upper level you"ll find another air duct. Use the Batclaw to open it then crawl through and collect the Riddler Trophy from the locked off room.

Now leave through the door to the north.

North CorridorGo up the stairs to the right and pry the vent shaft open on your left at the top of them. Crawl through this air duct to reach a small pair of cells. Smash the two 2 sets of Joker Teeth in here.

Did Amadeus go mad or was he just dizzy?
Enter the cell with all the circles scribbled on the wall and scan it to solve this riddle.
Now, stand in the larger room the cells open into. Look up and Grapple into the air duct up high near the ceiling. Follow this around to pop out in the upper level of North Corridor. Walk around to the southwest to collect the Riddler Trophy. Now find the vent shaft to the east and crawl through it into the next area.

Dr. Young"s OfficeDrop down into Young"s office and sneak up behind the armed guard and perform a Silent Takedown. Quickly dispatch the other two and then you"ll need to find another way into the office.

It"ll be a cold day in hell when this Ghul rises again.
Wander up the stairs of the office and Scan the body half sticking out of the freezer to solve this riddle.
Look up along the northern wall to see the vent above. Use the Batclaw to open it then Grapple into it and crawl through to the young doctor"s office.

How do you mask your feelings without losing control?
Inside Dr. Young"s office you"ll find a skull mounted to the wall. Scan the skull to solve this riddle.
Now enter Detective Mode and find Dr. Young"s finger prints on the door of the wall safe. Scan the prints so that you have them stored in your database. It"s time to find Dr. Young.

Crawl back through the vents and some goons will kick in the door and attack you. Defeat the thugs and then grab Scarecrow"s Patient Interview Tape #3. Use Detective Mode to follow the prints back into the West Wing Corridor where you"ll find 3 sets of Joker Teeth that jump out of a present. Follow Dr. Young"s fingerprints back through the Main Hall and into the Southern Corridor.

Southern CorridorWhat does a bird need in the rain?
When you enter this room, look along the left (east) wall. There you"ll find the umbrella of the Penguin. Scan it to solve the riddle.
Make your way down the corridor and smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth along the way. Look up before you round the next corner. You"ll see an air duct you can Grapple on top of above you. Climb up here and then destroy the breakable wall with some Explosive Gel and then scan the Chronicle of Arkham you find here.

This fiendish puzzle literally appears out of thin air.
Stand on the edge of the air ducts and look down. You will see the body of the question mark down below while the dot is on the edge of the air duct. Line the two up and Scan them to solve this riddle.
Drop back down and take Corner Cover to spy on the two Blackgate prisoners. One of them is armed. Equip a batarang and hit the armed goon with it then rush in and engaged them. Take them out then turn around to spot the vent cover high above the floor. Use the Batclaw to pull it off the wall then Grapple up to it and collect the Riddler Trophy from within. Once you"ve got it, climb back out and enter the door opposite of the vent.

LibraryWhen you enter the Library you"ll encounter a horde of thugs tearing the place apart. Attack them and be mindful of the knife wielding foes (don"t Counter them, Cape Stun them). Use the Batclaw to pull the grating from the vent here and climb into the air duct to pick up another Riddler Trophy. Head down the stairs and smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth along the way.

As you approach the hostages Joker will block your path with an electric barrier and tell you the bomb they are strapped to will go off in 2 minutes. Run back up the stairs and then Grapple up to the upper level. Look for the vent to open and crawl through. You"ll have to navigate a small ventilation system to get up to the highest level of the Library. Once you pop out you"ll see a large chandelier hanging in front of you. Use a batarang to cut the rope it hangs from. The chandelier will go crashing down through the glass floor below. Jump down to the bottom floor and Disarm the bomb.

Grapple all the way back up to the highest level of the Library. Pry the unopened vent open here and inside you"ll find another Riddler Trophy. Now drop all the way back down to the lowest level of the Library and use Detective Mode to locate Dr. Young"s fingerprints on the book she hid them in. Now Grapple back up to the original level and head through door towards the South Corridor only to end up somewhere else.

Recurring NightmareWhen you leave the Library, you"ll find yourself at Wayne Manor. Follow the corridor. Just keep walking as memories from Bruce Wayne"s live washes over him and transforms the hallway into Crime Alley. After a brief mournful scene, proceed to the end of the hallway and through the door there.

You"ll now find yourself in another realm of the Scarecrow"s. Again you"ll need to avoid his evil gaze at all costs. If you"re spotted, you"re dead. Run from cover to cover after observing the Scarecrow"s pattern and learning his timing. Use the Batclaw to pull down the box to the right when you don"t see any cover along the ground. Once you pull the box down you can hide behind and then do the same to the next box. Climb over the next wall and follow the path around to where the Scarecrow will summon some skeleton warriors for you to face. Defeat the creatures like you would and enemy in the game and proceed.

You"ll need to run and jump to a ledge and then shimmy around the wall to the right. Remain hanging until Scarecrow looks to the right and then climb up and jump to the right again. Keep an eye on the evil gaze as you climb and be sure to take cover when it is near. Shimmy around another ledge and then run to the right until you have to fight more skeletons.

Defeat the creatures then Grapple up the wall and make your way around the corner. Here you"ll need to jump to a platform and then leap the the next one while avoiding the swinging pendulum and the Scarecrow"s gaze. Once you pass the pendulum, Crouch behind the small wall near the giant Scarecrow. Wait for him to look to the right then run down the platform away from him then duck and take cover just around the half wall to the right. When the gaze passes you to the left, run to the right, hop over the railing then take shelter behind the wall. Wait for him to look right and then left again before climbing up and rushing the bat signal to end this nightmare.

East Wing CorridorYou"ll awake from your nightmare in the bell tower of the Main Hall. Use a batarang to cut the rope of the bell to send it crashing to the ground below. Drop all the way down to the ground and then head through the door the bell just revealed to enter the East Wing Corridor.

Round the corner here and you"ll be introduced to a stun baton wielding enemy. You cannot Counter these enemies or even Strike them head on without being zapped. Instead, you need to Evade (double tape Run plus a direction) and hop over them then Strike them in the back. Practice on this lone fool.

A game of cat and mouse can be painful.
Look for the glass case opposite where the first stun baton guy was and you"ll find Catwoman belongings. Scan them to solve this riddle.
Enter the men"s room and take out the prisoner here then head into the Warden"s Office.

Warden"s OfficeZsasz will take Dr. Young hostage and back into the larger area of the office. Sneak up to the corner of this room and take Corner Cover. You"ll see Zsasz hold Young directly in front of himself. If you pop out he"ll kill her. It"s time for the batarang. Equip the batarang and target just to the right of Young"s head. Zsasz will peek around her this way from time to time. Simply hold the target marker here so the second he does he"s locked and you can hit him with a batarang instantly.

Defeat the Blackgate Prisoners who attack you after the brief scene where Harley Quinn takes the Warden. Once you"ve cleared the room of enemies use Detective Mode to scan the Warden"s cane to acquire his DNA. This is will be the new trail you"ll need to follow, but first grab the Secrets Map from the desk on the right side of the room.

Isn"t the Warden too old for a puppet show?
Locate puppet inside the glass case along the southern wall of the room. Scan it to solve this riddle.
Step back out by the doorway you used to defeat Zsasz and pick up the Riddler Trophy in the small office (unlocks the Record Breaker challenge map). Go back into the first room of the Warden"s Office and look up. Grapple up to the balcony above where you"ll find 3 sets of Joker Teeth chattering about the cabinets.

Head back to the East Wing Corridor and smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth that pop out at you here. Follow the DNA trail back to the Main Hall where 3 armed prisoners wait for you. Grapple up to the gargoyles above and all the way to the south end of the room (behind them). Drop down and quickly perform Silent Takedowns on two of the goons then batarang the third and rush up and take him out. Follow the DNA trail back outside to Arkham Island.

Arkham Island, Part 4Leave the mansion and use Detective Mode to follow the traces of the Warden"s DNA into the Abandoned Tunnel.

Abandoned TunnelGrapple onto the ledge above the locked gate then jump to the next ledge. In Detective Mode you can see a group of goons at the end of the tunnel. You want to Grapple on top of the archway just before them so you can look down at them from above. Use a Multi-Batarang to target the two armed thugs. Hit them first then quickly drop down and begin your assault. Defeat all the foes then look to the north to see a small alcove you can Grapple to. Use the Explosive Gel on the floor up here to destroy the breakable floor. Drop down and pick up the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Scarface character trophy).

Arkham WestAnother sniper has taking to camping in the guard tower here. Watch him in Detective Mode to avoid his line of sight then Grapple up to the ledge of the tower and perform a Vertical Takedown. Smash the 2 sets of Joker Teeth you find in the tower. If you follow the Warden"s DNA, it"ll lead you up the stairs by the waterfront where you"ll find several goons harassing some hostages. Break up this party and their faces. The DNA trail leads into the Cell Block of the Penitentiary. Before you enter though, use the Batclaw to pull the vent down from the right in this entrance alcove. Climb inside and grab the Riddler Trophy from within. Now enter the Penitentiary

PenitentiaryCells AccessAs soon as you enter the Penitentiary, pick up Zsasz"s Patient Interview Tape #1 from the desk on the right. There will be three thugs ahead of you down the hall. One is armed. Sneak up on them or batarang the armed one and then rush in and mop the floor with the other two. Just be sure you take down the armed guard first.

Now follow the white stripe around to find 3 sets of Joker Teeth waiting for you to smash them. Break off from the white line for a moment to enter the men"s room and collect the Riddler Trophy from the last stall.

How do you reflect on your successes and failures, Batman?
Make your way into the woman"s room and stand in front of the wall mirror here and Scan yourself.
Reconnect with the white line on the floor and enter the Main Cell Block.

Main Cell BlockEnter this large room to find it packed with raving lunatics behind bars. You"ll follow the Warden"s trail around the cell and ultimately leading to the southern exit. Before you leave though, Grapple up above the cells and enter the small office in this upper area.

Two people, one voice, no gun?
Enter the office on the upper level of this large room along the northern side. Scan the tommy gun mounted on the wall directly in front of you.
Now smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth you find in the upper office and pick up Zsasz"s Patient Interview Tape #2. Resume to following the Warden"s trail to the south along the ground level of this cell block. Destroy the breakable wall along the left of the narrow corridor to reveal the Generator Access. Just pick up the Riddler Trophy from the ground and ignore the rest of this room, there"s nothing more you can do here just yet. Proceed through the door into the Green Mile to the south. You"ll trigger a scene with Poison Ivy and then need to continue to follow the DNA trail further south to the Security Control Room.

Security Control RoomFollow the trailer up the stairs and into the control room perch to find the Warden and trigger another scene. At the end of the scene you"ll be given a new gadget, the Cryptographic Sequencer. This device will allow you to hack Security Gate Control panels. Note that you should purchase the Range Amplifier upgrade for this device as soon as possible. It"ll allow you to hack into more control panels and solve more of the Riddlers Challengers which in turn nets you more XP. It"s a win/win for you.

You"ll need to use it to get out of this small room. Equip the device and then target the panel at the top of the stairs and begin to use. Batman will kneel down and put the sequencer in both hands. The idea here is to move the two joysticks around around and find the frequency that disrupts the panel. The best way to do this is to move one joystick around first. The control will rattle and glow green as you get near the sweat spot. Once you"ve found the direction with the biggest response with one joystick, begin to use the second joystick to in the same manner. You may need to do some slight tweaky from here but you should be able to find the sweat spot. The sequencer"s screen will glow an even brighter green when you"ve got the right spot and then the panel will pop and disable the electric barrier. When you find electric barriers from now on, use Detective Mode to follow the glowing orange cable to the security gate controls so you can disable the barrier.

Go back down to the lower level of this area and approach the glass cell.

A case of mistaken identity?
Look into the glass cell in this area to find any one of your friends inside. Don"t be fooled. Scan whoever is in there to solve this riddle involving Clayface.
Go up the stairs to find a breakable wall directly above Clayface"s cell. Blow it open and grab the Riddler Trophy from within. Now go up the stairs above the exit of this room and use the Cryptographic Sequencer to disable the gate control so you can grab the Riddler Trophy from the small cell (Unlocks the Intensive Treatment [EXTREME] Challenge Mode map).

The Green MileHead back into The Green Mile and grab the Riddler Trophy from the open cell along the left. Head back towards the Main Cell Block and you"ll be attacked by your first asylum inmate near the door. These crazies don"t fight you like the Blackgate prisoners do. These lunatics just charge at you and attempt to leap onto your back. Counter their leap and Batman will slam them onto the ground. Once on the ground, perform a Ground Attack to finish him off. Proceed into the cell block.

Main Cell BlockWhen you reenter this cell block, Harley Quinn will turn the electric floors on. Quickly Grapple to the upper level above the cells. Harley will swing from a light and sick some Blackgate prisoners on you. This fight can be a bit tricky because of two things. One is that there are two gun lockers on either side of this platform. Alarms will sound when goons attempt to open them. You want to prevent them from opening these lockers because if they do, there will be a gun in the fighting ring which others can pick up instantly even if you knock the one carrying it down. The second annoyance here is the small railing in the middle of the battle ring. If prevents you from freely hopping around and can kills your combos. It also makes it harder to go after a lone thug attempting to open the gun in the middle of a combo. Do your best to take these enemies out as quickly as possible. Listen for the locker alarms and try not to let anyone open them. Quinn will send two waves of goons after you and then retreats.

Once you"ve defeated Harley goons, make your way into the office on this upper level of the cells. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer on the control panel to the left to deactivate the floors and the barrier leading to the west. Hop down and head into the west wing of the Main Cell Block. Take out the lunatic that attacks you here.

This room is the end of days for even the most celebrated killer.
Enter the first cell on the right when you step into the western area of the cell block. Scan the scattered calender days that litter this room to solve this riddle.
Explore the cells along the south to find another Riddler Trophy then head up the stairs to the west to enter the Guard Room.

Guard RoomEnter the Guard Room and proceed straight through the door ahead of you. Here you"ll find a trap laid by Harley Quinn. She has two guards hung up over electrified water and a bomb counting down. You need to act fast here. You"ll need to cut the guards down but you have to disable the electricity running to them first. Each pool has its own power supply through and will need to be turned off separately. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer to disable one of the control panels on the left. This will only disable one pool and only for a short amount of time as well. Quickly use a batarang to cut the guard hanging over the non-lethal free and then go to work on killing the other control panel. When the power has been cut to the next pool, quickly batarang the other guard free. Now Harley ups the ante by dropping the bomb"s timing to 30 seconds. Quickly find the control panel by the exit and use the Cryptographic Sequencer to unlock the door. Run out of this room.

After the scene with the two guards you just saved, smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth. Now head around and into the office the two guards went into. Pick up Zsasz"s Patient Interview Tape #3 on the left. Turn around and find the grate covering the air duct off the ground in this narrow hallway. Grapple up and crawl through this shaft to reach the Main Cell Block via the shaft. You"ll pop out in a dead end but will find a Riddler Trophy here. Crawl back through the air duct to the Guard Room then enter the Main Cell Block using the door.

Controlled AccessProceed through the western section of the Main Cell Block towards the middle part. You"ll find and want to destroy 6 sets of Joker Teeth along the way to the door to directly to the east. Go through the door to the east to enter Controlled Access.

Here you"ll find yourself in a corridor of cells. Begin to make your way forward.

What has four walls, two sides, and one ex-DA?
Head up the stairs about half way through the hallway and enter the cell on the right to set a "Dent" poster on the wall. Scan it to complete this riddle.
At the end of the hallway you"ll want to use the Batclaw to pull the grate cover from the ceiling then Grapple up into the office above. Grab Zsasz"s Patient Interview Tape from the desk. Step out on the upper level here and use Detective Mode to spot the three breakable walls on the right. Destroy the one on the left and drop into the cell below to acquire the Riddler Trophy. From the upper level, take the stairs down to the northern door of this room to enter Extreme Incarceration.

Extreme IncarcerationWhen you enter this room, you"ll see Harley in the control room above you. She"ll then sick waves of Blackgate Prisoners on you. The one thing to keep in mind here is that the floor can be electrified. When you see the floor below you flicker with light, run and climb over one of the railings to reach the other section of the floor. There"s three sections here. Its probably best to stay in the middle section with the exception of it being electrified. Simply return to the middle one when if turns off. Work on building combos to defeat the goons. Remember to not Strike the stun baton wielding ones directly or attempt to Counter them. Also Evade over them.

Defeat all the waves of enemies Harley throws at you to trigger a scene. During the scene Batman will scan her fingerprints and then put her back into her cell.

All alone in your cell? Why don"t you break the ice with the most dangerous Prisoners?
Stand in the middle section of the three floors here and look to the southeast to see the cell covered in ice. Scan this cell to solve this riddle.
Head through the door in the center and smash the 2 sets of Joker Teeth and then grab the Secrets Map from the desk to the left. Make your way upstairs into the control room and pick up Zsasz"s Patient Interview Tape #5 from the desk up here. Now use the Cryptographic Sequencer on the control panel labeled with a "5" to open the corresponding cell. Run back down and enter this cell to acquire another Riddler Trophy. Now use the Explosive Gel to blast the back wall of this cell apart and Scan the Chronicle of Arkham you find here. Look up and Grapple to the ledge above. Blow this wall open to get back into the main area of this room.

Make your way back through the Controlled Access room where you"ll find another Joker present. Smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth that pop out then proceed to make your way back outside to Arkham Island.

Arkham Island, Part 5Arkham WestThe island is now littered with raving lunatics that will charge Batman. Counter their attacks then just perform a Ground Takedown to dispatch them quickly. Grapple up to the ledge above the door you just came out of. Here you"ll find an electric barrier. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer (with the Range Amplifier upgrade) to hack the control panel at the far side of the room to turn off the barrier. Now you can enter the room and pick up the Riddler Trophy.

Zsasz is counting on you finding his work.
With the Range Amplifier upgrade for the Cryptographic Sequencer you can hack into the room above the Cell Block entrance to the Penitentiary. Look at the three dead security guards sitting around a table and Scan them to solve this riddle.
Drop straight down in front of the Penitentiary and open the small guard station by the ambulance with the Cryptographic Sequencer so you can collect this area"s Secrets Map. Now use the sequencer on the elevator control panel in front of the Medical Facility. This will raise the elevator and reveal a Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Harley Quinn character trophy) for you to collect.

If you simply want to get on with the story, proceed to the Botanical Gardens and skip down below. For those riddle solvers out there, you"ll find there quite a few riddle you can now solve throughout the island.

Head into the connecting tunnel to Arkham North and Grapple up to the vents above. Use the Batclaw to pull the vent cover off the air duct above you and then climb into it to collect another Riddler Trophy. Proceed to Arkham North.

Arkham NorthThere"s a ton of lunatics running around Arkham North so be careful and watch your back. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer to hack into the small guard station by the guard tower. In here you"ll find Joker"s Patient Interview Tape #4.

Let"s face it, there are two Dents on the wall.
Hack into western guard station and look at the flyers on the the back wall of it that say "Dent" on it. Scan these to solve the riddle.
Head to the north and hack into the raised guard station here using the Cryptographic Sequencer and then collect the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Arkham Inmates character trophy).

Now make your way to Arkham East.

Arkham EastOnce you enter the main area of Arkham East, Grapple up to the bridge leading from the guard tower to a locked off station direct above the entrance to this area. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer to disable the barrier then explore this office to find a Riddler Trophy and Joker"s Patient Interview Tape #5.

Head down towards the Arkham Mansion and you"ll find the tall statue is now on fire. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer to open the nearby guard station. Inside you"ll find a Riddler Trophy to collect and then the area"s Secrets Map on the table.

Make your way towards the Botanical Gardens. At the foot of the stairs you"ll find 2 sets of Joker Teeth to smash. Head up the stairs and enter the gardens.

Botanical GardensGlasshouse EntranceAs soon as you walk in, you"ll find 3 sets of Joker Teeth to destroy. In this narrow entrance way, climb over the shrubs to the right or left and enter the Drainage System. You"ll find a Chronicle of Arkham tablet to Scan down there. Climb back out to the Glasshouse Entrance and proceed north.

Is the number up for these guards?
Look to the left as you step out into the larger portion of the room and you"ll see two dead security guards sitting around a bench. Scan them and you"ll solve this riddle.
Make your way to the northern side of this room where two armed prisoners guard the exit. Take Corner Cover at the top of the short staircase then Multi-Batarang them. Grab Poison Ivy"s Patient Interview Tape #1 from the bench to the right of the stairs, then head down them. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer to disable the barrier and then go through the door.

Botanical GardensThis room is home to six armed Blackgate prisoners. The best strategy here is to Grapple up to the gargoyles. Perform an Inverted Takedown on one of the thugs on the upper level. Wait for some other goons to come investigate and then Multi-Batarang the ones that showed up. Now drop down and perform Ground Takedowns and then repeat when the next batch comes over.

Clear the room of thugs so you can then solve its riddles. Drop into the fountain in the center of the room. Use Detective Mode to spot the breakable wall along the back of the fountain walls. Blow it up then crawl through the vent here to find a Riddler Trophy. Climb back out then head up to the second level of this room and find the floor grates in the back middle. Open one to get under the floor and then find the Riddler Trophy here.

What time is tea time in Wonderland?
Along the second level of this room you"ll find a tea set on one of the back walls plant pots. Scan the tea set to solve this riddle.
Now use Detective Mode to follow Quinn"s fingerprints through the door to the north into the Flooded Corridor. Here you"ll witness a brief scene with the Joker. After the scene you"ll need to go back into the Botanical Glasshouse. You"re trying to kill the power for the Flooded Corridor. Use Detective Mode to follow the power cables back through the Botanical Glasshouse and to the east.

Statue CorridorRemember the Waynes? How could anyone forget?
Walk up to the bench in the middle of this corridor. Go into first person view and examine the plaque on the bench. It will be a dedication to Thomas and Martha Wayne. Scan the plaque to complete the riddle.
Make your way around to the right and pick up Poison Ivy"s Patient Interview Tape #2 on the bench here and then be sure you"ve destroyed all 3 sets of Joker Teeth here. Make your way through the corridor and use the door at the end.

Glasshouse Generator RoomHere you"ll find several thugs beating up on a hostage. Bust up their little party. Watch out for the stun baton wielding enemy and the knife wielding one. Remember to Evade over the stun guy and punch him in the back and then Cape Stun the knife guy before attacking him. Defeat all the punks and then free the hostage.

Grab Poison Ivy"s Patient Interview Tape #3 from the counter behind Carl Todd. Grapple up to the balcony above you to the left and then use then use the Cryptographic Sequencer with the Range Amplifier upgrade to hack into the room at the top of the ladder. In this room you"ll find a Riddler Trophy and the Secrets Map for the Botanical Gardens.

Drop back down to the main floor and use the Cryptographic Sequencer on the rigged control panel. These ones are harder than the basic panels. You have to hack 3 frequencies to fully disable it and each one has a time limit. The timer is visible via the light blue bars on the panel. They will slowly disappear as and it counts down. Hack each of the 3 frequencies before the timer runs out to disable the power going to the Flooded Corridor. Once you"ve done that, make your way back over there.

Flooded CorridorNow that the power is turned off you can wade through the water to get to the other side of the room. Destroy the 2 sets of Joker Teeth on the far side and then pry the vent shaft open. Now crawl through the air duct.

The Ratcatcher needed more than just his charm to lead his army.
As you crawl through the vent shaft away from the Flooded Corridor look for a grate along the floor you can look through as you pass over it. You"ll see a pair of gloves and some other equipment here. Scan them to solve this riddle.
Before you kick the vent open at the opposite end of the air duct, be sure you"ve collected the Riddler Trophy from the dead end. Kick open the vent exit and drop into this old room. Blow open the wall with Explosive Gel and then head through the door on the other side.

Abandoned CorridorThe first thing you want to do here is to go to the right and drop down to the lowest part of this tall chamber. Here you should be able to see a trophy under a circular grate. Make your way around this lower level in a clockwise motion to find a ditch with running water. Drop into the culvert-like drain and crawl through the lower tunnel to reach the Riddler Trophy.

Crawl back out of the drain and find the floor hatch nearby. Crawl under the floor to discover an enclosed room in the middle of the chamber. Pop out and pick up the Riddler Trophy here then crawl back out.

Now make your way back around and up the staircase to the second level in the middle of the chamber. Head up the stairs on the right and then jump to the next platform to the north. Here you"ll find the exit but there"s more riddles to solve first. Turn west and then jump to the platforms there. Head up the small ramp then shimmy to the left using the ledge and pull yourself up by the waterfall. Turn directly around and jump from the waterfall to the platform opposite of it. Go to the right and cut the rope above you that is holding a platform in the air with a batarang. This will drop the platform and create a bridge for you to cross.

This challenge can only be seen by those with a different view on life.
About half way across the bridge you cut down with the batarang, cling to the column to the left and shimmy around to the left and then pull yourself onto the platform here. Head north along this platform and crawl under the broken part. Turn Detective Mode on and look down when you reach the end of this platform. You"ll see most of the question mark on the edge of the platform you are standing on but the corner of it is down below. Line them up and Scan it to solve this riddle.
From the riddle, jump to the ledge to the north and shimmy to the left. Climb up into the small alcove here and you"ll find a Chronicle of Arkham to Scan. Now head back over to the bridge you made and cross it to the other side. Turn left and jump to the next platform to find another Riddler Trophy. From here simply drop down to the north and you"ll land on the ledge of the door to the north. Exit the chamber through this northern door.

Flooded CorridorClimb up and crawl through the vent to find two thugs beating on a civilian. Give them a taste of their own medicine and beat the crap out of them. Talk to the poor guy who"s scared out of his mind. He"ll tell you about other hostages being held in the Avery. There"s some riddles to solve first though.

Looks like all the king"s horses trampled all the king"s men.
Head south down the dead end corridor to find a bench with a bunch of toys on it. Scan the toys to solve this riddle.
Turn on Detective Mode and follow the fingerprints around to the east.

Is this a tribute to what a mad dog left behind?
Find the beheaded statue in the east of this corridor. Find the small gold plaque on the base of the statue and look at it in first person view to see that "Mad Dog" has been etched into it. Scan it to solve the riddle.
Grab the Poison Ivy"s Patient Interview Tape #4 from the bench on the left and then continue to follow the fingerprints through the door.

AviaryHere you"ll find that Joker has two orderlies suspended over a pit inside cages. There are four armed thugs here and one of them is in a control room with a lever that can drop the cages into the pit of death If any of them see you or even if you take one of them out, the one in the control booth will flip the lever and kill the hostages. This means, you need to sneak up to the control room and take him out first.

Turn on Detective Mode to scope out where all the goons are located. Watch the one directly in front of you at the end of the corridor. When turns, sneak up and into the small alcove on the left just before him. Pry open the vent here. Crawl through and then Grapple your way up to the highest level. Crawl through the vent up here and look to your left. Glide to the platform on the left, then drop down behind the guard. Again, do not take him out!

Follow the path around to a ladder leading to an upper walkway. A guard patrols this walkway. Grapple to the ledge from here but do not climb over it. Shimmy to the right to find a ladder, but don"t use that either. Instead, drop to the ledge here and pry open the air duct. Crawl through this duct and Grapple up to find a way into the control room through the ceiling. Watch the goon below and when his back is turned, drop in and perform a Silent Takedown. Smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth in the control room. Now that he"s out of the way you are free to take out the remaining enemies which will release the hostages.

Once you"ve saved the hostages, go pick up Poison Ivy"s Patient Interview Tape #5 from the bench by the cages.

There"s no closet in the Gardens, so someone is using the roof instead.
Find the ledge where the ventilation leads you to high above. Just to the northwest of this ledge and a little lower you"ll spot a skeleton that is webbed to the wall (use Detective Mode to help see it). Scan the skeleton in first-person mode to solve the riddle.
Use Detective Mode to follow Harley"s fingerprints to the wall panel. Batman will rip it off to reveal a Joker rigged control panel. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer on the device. Remember that you need to hack three frequencies back to back. Once you"ve hacked the controls you"ll reveal a secret door to enter.

Titan Production FacilityTitan Henchmen
Here you"ll face off against two of the Joker"s Titan Henchmen. Same basic strategies from earlier giant encounters apply. Keep your distance initially, then batarang a changing titan with a Quick Throw and then quickly Evade (double tap Run) out of the way. Then go in for a quick melee combo when its stunned from running into the wall. Like Bane, these beast have three sections of health bars. The major difference with these enemies is that once a bar has been emptied, they will kneel down and become stunned. Run up and attack them and Batman will climb onto their shoulders. The titan will now stand up with you on his back. Use the control stick to steer the flailing beast around so it hit the other one. Do this until the creature throws you off then back off and repeat. Be sure to run up and finish a titan off when its health is completely empty. Defeat both monsters to proceed.
 

Once you"ve defeated the two beasts, use the Cryptographic Sequencer to open up the exit back the way you came in. There"s no way to get across this ravine so Batman calls for a new gadget to be dropped off. Pick up the Line Launcher from the drop shell. This device allows you to shoot a level cable and zip along it to cross gaps. Go to the open door and look just to the right of the exit. Use the Line Launcher to zip over the small alcove and collect the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Silent Knight (EXTREME) challenge map). Zip back to the battle ground of the titans and then zip to the exit to reenter the Aviary. From here make your way back to the Flooded Corridor.

Flooded CorridorHead to the western corridor and use the Line Launcher to cross the gap here. Pick up the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Shock and Awe challenge map) and smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth. Enter the door here to trigger a scene with Poison Ivy. After the scene you"ll be back in the Flooded Corridor. There"s a horde of enemies waiting for you across the gap. Use the Line Launcher to zip across and kick them over. Quickly begin fighting the ones that remained standing and combo your way through this group of goons. Once you"ve defeated them all, climb through the shaft leading back to the Abandoned Chamber. Make your way back through here to the Ventilation System and then back to the southern end of the Flooded Corridor. Some thugs have repowered the water here. Use the Line Launcher to cross over the water and put a hurting on the two punks waiting for you.

Reenter the Botanical Glasshouse and take out all the armed thugs here then proceed back into the Glasshouse Entrance.

Glasshouse EntranceDestroy the 3 sets of Joker Teeth just as you reenter this room. Approach the exit to the gardens only to have giant vines block the way. Luckily they popped a piece of the flooring up so you can drop down and use the Drainage System to get to the other side of the plants and leave the Botanical Gardens for now.

Where"s Killer Croc?Arkham EastWhen you reemerge outside, you"ll notice that Ivy"s plants have begun to take over the island. Littered about are Titan Pods which can spit toxic gas orbs at you. You can walk right up to them and tap the Run button to rip the plant open and kill it. Walking up to them instead of running also seems to prevent them from spitting out the orbs. Navigate towards the mansion destroy these Titan Pods and any lunatics who are crazy enough to attack you. Smash the 2 sets of Joker Teeth by the tall statue in front of the mansion. You won"t be able to use the front door of the mansion so Grapple up to the ledge above and enter the mansion through the door up here.

Arkham MansionIt seems Ivy"s plants has taken over the mansion. When you enter the Mansion Entrance Hall you"ll find that all but the top of the room is filled with a poisonous gas. Use the Line Launcher to zip straight across to the far end of the room and land on the air ducts here. Look up to find a vent shaft above you that you can Grapple into. Follow this duct through to Main Hall.

In the Main Hall you"ll need to drop to the balcony to the right. Follow it north for a bit until you are stopped by vines. Now line launch to the opposite side of the room and follow this balcony north. Hop over the railing to the staircase below then find Aaron Cash to standing at the top of them.

After you talk to Cash you"ll learn that there"s a way into Croc"s Lair via the Intensive Treatment building. Leave the mansion the same way you came in via the balconies and along the ceiling. Make your way back out to Arkham East and then head up to Arkham North. As you make your way through the connecting tunnel, you"ll encounter a group of prisoners dressed in in security guard jackets. Watch out for the stun baton wielding ones and Evade over them and then Strike them in the back. Defeat them all then proceed to Arkham North.

Arkham NorthThe front door to Intensive Treatment is blocked off however Batman sees a sniper up on a balcony directly above the door. Quickly Grapple up to the nearby guard tower then line launch yourself at the sniper"s position to take him out and discover a new way into this building. Before you enter though; smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth up here, then go over to the other guard tower and use the Line Launcher to reach the Riddler Trophy to the west. Now zip back to the balcony and enter Intensive Treatment.

Intensive Treatment, Part 2Maintenance AccessIgnore opening the vent shaft on the right just yet. Hop onto the raised supports next to it, then crawl under the duct to the north. Now do the same on the left and then enter the small caged-in area to the right to pick up another Riddler Trophy (this will unlock the Sewer Bat (EXTREME) challenge map). Head back to the entrance of this room and then look up and Grapple on top of the air ducts by the ceiling. Go through the hole in the fence to the left and then crawl through the vent to the back (north) of this area. Work your way through the Ventilation System and you"ll come to the Intensive Treatment Lobby.

Intensive Treatment LobbyThis room from the beginning of the game will be repopulated with armed Blackgate prisoners. However, the Joker had them rig all the gargoyles in this room with explosives! If you Grapple to a gargoyle now, it"ll trigger the bomb and explode in 3 seconds. Needless to say, you won"t be relying on these anymore for relaxing and checking out the area. In an emergency they can be used to quickly get to the other side of a room but you want to make sure to hop off as soon as you get to where you"re going. One positive thing however, is that you can use these as distractions and/or to lure enemies into traps. Be mindful of these uses.

Pick the enemies off one at a time. One of the better places to hide is in the vents under the control room in the middle. Either end of this is covered, just don"t hang around the exposed middle and get shot from above. Clear the room of enemies then use the Cryptographic Sequencer on the control panel in the control room in the middle. Disable the security barriers then go through the door on the right.

Cell Block TransferYou"ll find yourself back in the Cell Block Transfer room.

Hook up with the relatives before you"re transferred out of here.
Use the Cryptographic Sequencer to unlock the door on right just inside the Cell Block Transfer room. Go up the stairs and look at the small picture on the deck and Scan it to solve the riddle.
Proceed down the hallway and your game will trip out.

Resist the FearSimply follow the characters down the hallway as this nightmare recreates the opening of the game. Eventually you"ll arrive at a third twisted floating dimension for your final showdown with Scarecrow. Head up the stairs to find a large gap and a wall that moves from right to left. Equip your Line Launcher and use it to zip to the opposite ledge when the wall is out of view.

Here the massive Scarecrow will take up position haunting over you one final time. As in previous encounters, avoid his evil gaze at all costs. Wait for him to look to the right, then jump the small gap and Crouch behind the short chunk of cover. When the gaze passes over you to the left, run further to the right and climb the wall. Make you way along this long path and the Scarecrow will summon a horde of skeletons to attack you. They"re pretty flimsy compared to some of the inmates you"ve been fighting so any one of them will generally fall to pieces after a hit or two.

Once you defeat the skeletons, continue up the path where you eventually find a break in the wall. Stop here to observe Scarecrows pattern and timing. As soon as his gaze leaves the wall you"re hiding behind from the right, take off running after it to the right. Climb up the wall then Crouch behind the piece of cover at the top. Wait for the gaze to swing to the left then run and hop over the short fence to find cover behind a nice big wall.

Jump to the right as soon as the evil gaze swings that way. While you"ll feel like you need to vault up and over the raised platform with the two figures on it, you actually need to towards the camera (foreground) and take cover behind the platform as the gaze swings back by. Once it passes, continue to the right and jump to the next walled ledge. Jump the next gap then climb to the raised level and hide behind the wall here. Watch as a big metal wall like you saw earlier will move from right to left. You need to use this moving wall as cover. Run along with it between you and Scarecrow from the left all the way to the right.

Wait for the gaze to move to the right and hop the small gap then climb up over the wall here. Crouch behind the desk with the monitor on it and wait for the gaze to swing back to the left. Stand up and run to the right and you"ll jump to the top of a cage that will drop down. You"re safe down here. Wait for the gaze to swoop past then Grapple up to the next cage and more right to find more cover. The bat signal is just to the right in a small alcove. When Scarecrow isn"t looking, run up to the bat signal to trigger a scene.

BOSS: Scarecrow
After the scene, you"ll appear in a smaller area with the Scarecrow looming over you. He won"t be trying to kill you with his gaze here, instead he"ll be summoning skeletons to attack you and simply watching the fight. You need to fight your way through waves of enemies here. After each wave, a new spot light will turn on and hurt Scarecrow. Turn all three on to defeat him.

The first wave is pretty straight forward. The skeletons are not above attacking in quick succession so be ready to Counter them. Once you start to build even a small combo, each hit will shatter a skeleton. More will climb out of the ground during this wave but it shouldn"t be a problem. Defeat them all to turn on the first spotlight.

The second wave will consist of one giant skeleton. Keep your distance and wait for him to charge. When he does, Quick Throw a batarang at him and dive out of the way. The beast will smash into pieces against the wall and another spotlight will turn on.

The third wave will have a ton of normal skeletons and then one giant one. Keep your distance from the big one while you fight the smaller ones. Just be sure to keep an eye on him. Watch for him to charge and then stop what your doing, Quick Throw a batarang and then dive out of the way. He"ll harmlessly smash against the wall leaving to simply worry about killing the remaining basic skeletons with your fists. Smash and Counter your way through the remaining enemies. Once you"ve defeated them all the third spotlight will be turned on and you"ll return to Intensive Treatment
 
Cell Block TransferYou"ll reemerge from the nightmare in the Cell Block Transfer room with a bunch of knocked out enemies at your feet. Proceed north into the Secure Transit room, then swing around and head into the door leading back into Cell Block Transfer just on the opposite side (the east side). Use the Cryptographic Sequencer with the Range Amplifier upgrade to hack into the office in the northeast corner of this room. Now enter this small control room and pick up Harley Quinn"s Patient Interview Tape #3. Now reenter Secure Transit to chase after Crane.

Secure TransitWhen you enter this area, head up the stairs to find a control room above the Cell Block Transfer doors you just came through. Pick up Harley Quinn"s Patient Interview Tape #4 here. While it"s tempting to just drop down the elevator shaft there are a few things to collect if you take the slow and gradual descent. Make you way back down via the original path you climbed up in the beginning of the game. Look for "Level 6" to be written on the wall and stand on the platform between the two elevator shafts. Now look for a covered vent to the north. Use the Batclaw to remove the cover. Line yourself up with the vent carefully then jump to the duct and pull yourself in so you can pick up the Riddler Trophy. Work your way around to the southeast of "Level 6". You"ll find two breakable walls. Destroy the one on the left with Explosive Gel then Scan the Chronicle of Arkham that lies behind it. Now drop all the way down to the bottom of the elevator shaft.

Dr. Jonathan Crane plans on elevating fear to new depths.
Hop down on top of the locked elevator Scarecrow used to escape. Crawl through the vent here to find a cave littered with paper work. Scan the blueprints to solve this riddle.
Make you"re way into the office just above the bottom of the shaft. Multi-Batarang the three prisoners here (note that one is armed). Then rush in and finish them off. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer on the Joker rigged control panel in here to reopen the elevator shaft. Drop down and start fighting the enemies here. Know that there are two gun lockers that the goons will attempt to open. If you hear the alarm going off, be sure to stop them from opening the lockers. Head up the stairs here to collect the Secrets Map from the control room here. Now use the door opposite of this room (by the thugs) and enter the Caves.

Caves, Part 2Control Room AccessPick up Killer Croc"s Patient Interview Tape #3 from the crate on the left. Follow the hallway around and enter Croc"s Lair.

Croc"s LairTake a few steps to trigger a scene. After the scene you"ll find yourself at the edge of some water. Look to the left and use the Line Launcher to zip across and pick up the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Survival Tactics challenge map). Now use the Line Launcher to go to the west and then north to Croc"s actual lair which is a labyrinthine of tunnels that do not appear on the map.

Batman will set a tracking device that is tuned to lead you to the spores needed to create the anti-Titan compound. It works by telling you how far away you are from the spore. As you walk towards it the numbers will decrease. The idea is to use this device to navigate the tunnels. If you make a wrong turn, the numbers will instantly turn red making it pretty hard to get lost. However, there"s another important trick to this area. You can"t make a lot of noise. Noise attracts Killer Croc. If you run along the wooden platforms, he"ll hear you and instantly kill you. You need to walk along the platforms or Crouch and move which is slightly faster than just walking.

Begin to make your way through this labyrinthine. Always keep an eye on the counter and follow it along the platforms. You can climb over the metal fences to follow the signal. Have your batarang equipped. As you delve deeper into the sewer system, Croc will pop out of the way and charge at you. Quickly aim your batarang at the collar around his neck and throw it at him. If you hit the collar it"ll shock him and he"ll fall back into the water. He"ll do this through out your trek through his lair and you"ll need to keep and ear out for him so you can react and hit him with a batarang.

Follow the signal to the first spore and batarang it down. Walk up to it and tap the Run button to gather the ingredients from this plant. Sadly you"ll need to collect five of these spores so your job here is not done yet. Proceed to follow your tracking device to the next spores. Listen for Croc as he"ll continue to pop out of the water at you. Know that he won"t alway pop out in front of you. If you don"t immediately see him, spin the camera around to find him and hit him with at batarang.

When you pick up the fourth spore, Croc will smash the platforms you just walked over. Collect the spore sample then use the Line Launcher to zip back to the other platforms. Begin to follow the tracking device to the last spore. Croc has a new attack. When the platforms begin to rattle, Run! As soon as they stop rattling, you"ll need to resume walking to avoid detection. You"ll basically alternate between running from him and bataranging him. Just stay on course with the tracking device and you"ll eventually reach the last spore.

Batman will now reset the tracking device so it leads you back to the the entrance of the lair. Croc will generally alternate between popping out of the water or chasing your from under the platforms. Pay attention to the different cues so are ready for either attack. Make your way back entrance via the tracking device. As you near it, the camera will swoop around in front of Batman. At this point you"ll need to towards the camera as Croc destroys the platforms behind you. Run all the way to the mouth of the tunnel only to have the gate close on you. Turn around and equip the your remote for the Explosive Gel. Wait for Croc to step on the breakable floor Batman lined the gel on and the detonate it under him. This will drop Croc into a seemingly bottomless pit. Batman will open the gate and you"ll be back within the map of Croc"s Lair.

Use the Line Launcher to zip to the west of the lair. Destroy the 3 sets of Joker Teeth and then enter the Old Sewer.

Old SewerFollow the tunnel to the west and you"ll find a horde of Blackgate prisoners. Batarang the armed to knock him down then jump in and start fighting the rest of them. Keep in mind that someone else can pick up that firearm so keep an eye on it. Defeat all the thugs and then use the Line Launcher to reach the Riddler Trophy at the southern tip of this area. Take then tunnel to the west to reenter the Batcave.

BatcaveMake your way to the center platform by Batman"s computer console to trigger a scene. The scene will conclude with Batman acquiring his final gadget, the Ultra Batclaw. This adds two additional cables and claws to the Batclaw. This gives you the strength to pull down breakable walls. Namely the ones that you can"t stand next to and blow up. There"s an example of this right here. Look to the south in Detective Mode to see the breakable wall. Shoot the Ultra Batclaw at it then tap the Run button to pull the wall down. Glide to this new alcove then Grapple up and step out onto the cliffs.

You"ll see various islands about. You need to Glide to the east to land on the tall island. Be sure to pick up the Riddler Trophy here on the edge before proceeding. Climb to the top of this island then line launch into the next one. Follow the cave inside this pillar of an island then look up. There"s two grapple points above you. You want to Grapple to the lower one. Step out onto this ledge and look to the northeast. There you will see a tiny rock island with a trophy on it. Glide to this small ledge to collect the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Record Breaker (EXTREME) challenge map) then line launch back. Grapple back up to your original ledge, then step back inside and Grapple to the top of this island from the inside.

Use the Line Launcher to zip to the west and you"ll drop back down into the Old Sewer.

Old SewerGrapple into the air duct and crawl through the main portion of the sewer. When you get out of the duct, look up and use the Batclaw to pull down the breakable ceiling and climb up into it to find another Riddler Trophy. Make your way north and watch out for Ivy"s plant pods. Enter the Main Sewer Junction.

Main Sewer JunctionMake your way to the top of this chamber and then use the Line Launcher to cross the gap to the far platform and collect the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Rumble in the Jungle challenge map) here. Climb on top of the archways and then make your way south along the tops of them You"ll come to one ledge that is higher than the other. Stand up here then look northeast to see a trophy on a far ledge. Use the Line Launcher to reach this ledge and collect the Riddler Trophy.

Look up with Detective Mode to see a breakable wall above you. Climb on top of the archways and use the Ultra Batclaw to pull the wall open. Grapple up here to enter the Pump Control Room.

Pump Control RoomQuickly defeat the three thugs in here and then grab the Secrets Map from the small table. Follow the corridor around and pick up Killer Croc"s Patient Interview Tape #4. Head through the door to the north.

Pressure Control JunctionWhen you enter this room, throw a Multi-Batarang at the two goons standing at the top of the stairs. Run up and finish them off with Ground Takedowns. Take the corridor to the west first and smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth along the way. Look up using Detective Mode to the right and you"ll spot a breakable wall. Use the Ultra Batclaw to pull it down. Climb into this alcove and pick up the Riddler Trophy. Head through the door at the end of the hallway.

Pump RoomThere"s a group of enemies below you here. Use Detective Mode to spot the one armed one then hit him with a batarang. Jump down and take out the other. Watch out for the knife wielding one and the other with the stun baton. Combo around the room and take them all out. Use the Cryptographic Sequencer on both control panels here to shut down both pumps. Grapple back up the ledge you started on then line launch across to the opposite platform and pick up Killer Croc"s Patient Interview Tape #5.

Now head back through the Pressure Control Junction and go to the east this time. Be sure to destroy the 3 sets of Joker Teeth along the way then enter the Control Room at the end of the hallway.

Control RoomThe Control Room is home to 7 armed Blackgate goons. Two of which hang out in the actual control room to the far back right. Ignore them for now. Instead, head to left and Grapple up to the gargoyle there. Now Glide down to the raised ledge with the vent. Pry open this shaft then crawl through and spot the two breakable walls, one on the floor and one to the right. Spray the back of both of them with Explosive Gel then go back the way you came in and Grapple back up to the gargoyle. Watch the enemies wander around and detonate the gel when one enemy is below and other is next to both walls. While the other goons investigate the explosion, you should swing over and get under the control room. Pry the vent cover off the vent here first (this is your escape) then use the Ultra Batclaw to pull the breakable floor out from under the two thugs in the control room. Take cover in the air duct then return to the gargoyles while the others check out their defeated friends. Pick the remaining three goons off one by one or simply use the Multi-Batarang if they are grouped up then drop down and finish them off.

Once the area is clear, go you into the control room and use the Cryptographic Sequencer to disable the Joker rigged control panel. Use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the wall near the control room so you can Scan the Chronicle of Arkham hidden behind it. Go do the same on the left side of the room and collect the Riddler Trophy here. Two unarmed goons will be guarding the door. Batarang them then run up and knock them out. Head back to the Pressure Control Junction.

Pressure Control JunctionMano-A-Mano
This is a good place to acquire this achievement/trophy. You must defeat this Titan Henchman without using a single Batarang. The idea is to stand directly in front of the electric barriers. When the creature charges at you, dive out of the way and the very last second so it runs into the barrier. The barriers will stun the beast which allows you to combo him. Just remember to Evade at the last possible second so he runs into the barrier. Repeat this until you"ve defeated him without the use of a Batarang and you"ll earn this prize.
 

Make your way to the center of the junction and smash the 3 sets of Joker Teeth that pop out at you along the way. When you enter the center of the junction you"ll be locked in by barriers and forced to fight your way through hordes of thugs and one Titan Henchman.

The titan will appear first. Quick Batarang him when he charges then dive out of the way so that he slams into the wall behind you. Quickly melee the creature while he"s stunned. Once you lower a 3rd of his health bar, you"ll be able to hop onto his back while two elevators full of thugs pour out. While you"re on its back, direct it with the control stick to whack the other enemies around. Eventually the titan will toss you off and you"ll need to repeat this process. Use the titan to help thin out the thugs. Each time you empty a 3rd of his life, more goons will pop out of the elevator. Keep this up until you"ve defeated the Titan Henchmen and all the enemies.

Head into the elevator shaft the titan ripped open and then use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the breakable wall. Climb into this alcove and Scan the Chronicle of Arkham here. Look further up the elevator shaft and use the Ulra Batclaw to pull down another wall that you will need to Grapple to. From here, hop onto the elevator counter weight to your right and set some Explosive Gel on it then detonate to lower the elevator blocking your ascension. Ultra Batclaw the breakable wall up and opposite of you and then Grapple into this alcove and then find the door to the back to exit to Arkham West.

Titan IvyArkham WestUse the Explosive Gel to blast your way outside to find yourself on a ledge high above the ground. The ground level is littered with enemies. There"s a sniper, a bunch of plant pods, and even some lunatics. Ivy"s plants are getting out of control, it"s time to stop her. You"re goal is to make it back to the Botanical Gardens in Arkham East. The best way there is to use the abandoned tunnel that connects the west part of the island to the east.

From the ledge, Glide down to the left towards the tunnel.

Does Scarecrow"s gas break down barriers as it drives you insane?
Grapple onto the horizontal beams in front of the Arkham East doors. Look up to your left and use the Ultra Batclaw to pull the breakable wall down. Grapple into this alcove and Scan the canisters here to solve this riddle.
Just under the Arkham East sign is a breakable ceiling along the top of the tunnel, just before the doors. Use the Ultra Batclaw to pull the ceiling down then Grapple into this small room and collect the Riddler Trophy from within. Now head through the doors toward Arkham East.

The Abandoned Tunnel is lined with Ivy"s plant pods. You can either kill them or avoid them by grappling to the horizontal ledges through out the tunnel. Smash the two sets of 2 sets of Joker Teeth at the end of the tunnel then step out into Arkham East.

Arkham EastThis area is lined with plant pods once again and has a sniper in each of the guard towers. Stay to the left and Grapple up to the first guard tower. Take the sniper out then use the Remote Control Batarang to hit the other sniper across the way. Quickly rush his guard tower and finish him off. Go back to the first guard tower (the southern one) and smash the 2 sets of Joker Teeth here. Go to the stairs of the Botanical Gardens and destroy the final 2 sets of Joker Teeth for Arkham East.

Before entering the gardens, swing around to the east side of the stairs leading up to them and use the Explosive Gel to destroy the breakable wall here. Step into this alcove and scan the Chronicle of Arkham. Now head up the stairs and enter the Botanical Gardens.

Botanical GardensMake your way north through the gardens. You"ll come across the occasional plant pod which you can easily kill by just walking up to it and destroying it with the Run button. Proceed north to the Flooded Corridor where Ivy will clear the way for you. Destroy the 3 sets of Joker Teeth then line launch to the opposite side. At the corridor"s intersection you"ll be attacked by two security guards under Ivy"s control. Beat them like you would any normal thug then use the Line Launcher to cross the gap to the west and then enter the Elizabeth Arkham Gardens.

BOSS: Titan Ivy
Poison Ivy bounds with the titan plant to become Titan Ivy. She controls this massive plant from inside its mouth behind a shell. The plant has two positions; a low position and an upright position. It"ll start in the lowered position. When its hunched over like this, there"s nothing really for you to offensively. You simply want to work of avoiding taking damage. In this position the two outer tentacles will take turns stabbing into the ground. When they are in the ground, they will make grass pop up which will then grow into thorny vines that can wrap around Batman and squeeze them. If this happens, tap the Run button as fast as you can. They are pretty easy to avoid however. Generally the vines will grow right around where the tentacles hit the ground. So diving away from them will usually be enough to clear you from danger. However, just pay attention to the grass that pops up. This indicates where the vines will appear so be sure you"re clear of the grass to avoid the upcoming vines.

Again, in the lower position you only need to worry about dodging the plant"s attacks. Wait for the plant to go upright for you to go on the offensive. When upright, you"ll be able to see the shell that holds Ivy inside the creature"s mouth. Hitting the shell doesn"t do that much but it will open up periodically when in this position. You"re not completely free from danger however. Titan Ivy"s inner tentacles will shoot poisonous orbs at you. You"ll need to dive out of the way of these things as they can really hurt you. Of course, during these bombardments is the only time Ivy"s shell opens and exposes her. What you need to do is dive out of the way of an orb then Quick Throw a batarang and quickly dive again to avoid the next incoming orb. Just dive, quick throw, dive, quick throw, dive, quick throw. Know that when you do hit her, the plant will shoot numerous orbs at you all at once and you need to be sure you avoid these. Hit Ivy three times like this and she"ll return to the hunched over position.

Repeat these strategies until you"ve emptied her health meter. When this happens the plant will go limp on the ground. At this point run up and spray Explosive Gel on the shell that holds Ivy. Batman will detonate it to crack the shell which will trigger the second half of the battle.

The second half is very similar to the first. The biggest difference is during the hunched over phase, Ivy will send security guards after you while you contend with avoiding the vines. You need to defeat all the guards before she"ll go back into the upright position. While upright everything pretty much remains the same except that she fires a but faster. Same strategy through; dive, quick throw, dive. quick throw. Repeat all this until you"ve cleared her second health bar then run up to the downed plant like before and spray it with another batch of Explosive Gel to end the battle.
 
Crack the E NigmaIf you are simply ready to beat the story and the game, skip down to the Party Pooper section to proceed. If you want to solve the remaining riddles hidden through out the different areas, this is the place for you. Don"t worry if you don"t want to solve them just yet. After you beat the game you can select "Continue Story" and wander freely around the island then. But this is for the completists out there that want to complete everything and then finish the story.

Arkham NorthHead over to the west side of Arkham North, just to the left of the half destroyed building. Use Detective Mode to find the breakable wall along the side of the mountain and use the Ultra Batclaw to pull it open. Climb inside this alcove to collect this Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Henchmen on Titan character trophy). Next, Grapple up to the western guard tower and smash the 2 sets of Joker Teeth here.

Go over to the east side of Arkham North and destroy the 2 sets of Joker Teeth by the small guard station. Now head south and follow the cave tunnel that leads to Dead Man"s Point. Use Detective Mode to spot the breakable wall as you climb up the various levels. Tear the wall down with the Ultra Batclaw then jump into this small room and grab the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Joker character trophy).

Intensive TreatmentA top hat and tails is the only dress code for this party in the North.
Make your way to the Trasfer Loop. Halfway through as you head east you"ll find a office that you need to Crouch to get into. Once inside, turn around and Scan the poster of the Penguin to solve this riddle.
Continue to the east along the Transfer Loop to find where the corridor makes a square with itself. Go just east of it then look back at the middle and high up to see a vent cover that can be pulled down with the Batclaw. Yank the cover off, Grapple up here and find the Chronicle of Arkham to Scan.

Make your way into Decontamination and use the Cryptographic Sequencer to open the security barriers of the office in the northwest of the room. Inside you"ll find Harley Quinn"s Patient Interview Tape #5. Now climb the ladder in the office and pick up the Riddler Trophy.

Head to the Patient Pacification Chamber and up the stairs to the west. At the top of the stairs, use the Batclaw to pull the vent cover down and retrieve the Riddler Trophy from within.

Even I was shocked when I saw how Maxie Zeus was treated!
Use the Explosive Gel on the breakable wall in the main area of the Patient Pacification Chamber and then Scan the paper hung on the back wall of the cell to solve this riddle.
Where would you find my home sweet home?
Head around and back to the Holding Cells where the game really began. Enter the cell with the green question marks on the wall and Scan them to solve this riddle.
Now go to the Utility Corridor and use the Explosive Gel on the breakable wall here and collect the Riddler Trophy from behind it. Use the Utility door exit to the northwest to head out to Arkham East.

Botanical GardensEnter the Botanical Gardens and make your way to the Abandoned Chamber. Climb up to the upper level bridge you cut down earlier then shimmy out onto the narrow platform in the middle. Use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the breakable wall to the east then use the Line Launcher to zip into this alcove and pick up the Riddler Trophy.

Go to the Titan Production Facility and use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the breakable wall then Line Launcher to zip into the alcove and Scan the Chronicle of Arkham.

Arkham MansionMake your way into the Library. On the same level as the entrance, head to the north and use the Cryptographic Sequencer to unlock the security barriers. Enter this newly-unlocked room and pick up Scarecrow"s Patient Interview Tape #4.

Head up to the East Wing Corridor and use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the breakable wall to the left. Hop up in here and collect the Riddler Trophy (this will unlock the Survival Tactics [EXTREME] challenge map).

Go to the West Wing Corridor and use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the breakable wall. Climb into the alcove and pick up Scarecrow"s Patient Interview Tape #5.

Our Records show that a Strange transfer request was made in this room.
Use the Cryptographic Sequencer to unlock the door to the south. Now use the Line Launcher to zip over the electric floor. Once inside this small room at the end of the corridor, look at the files on the ground to the left labeled "Strange Files." Scan these files to solve this riddle.
CavesMake your way to the western end of Croc"s Lair and use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the breakable ceiling. Grapple up here here and collect the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Rumble in the Jungle (EXTREME) challenge map).

Go to the Main Sewer Junction and climb up to the platform after the first ramp. Stand directly in front of the second ramp and look to the right. Jump into the hollowed out column to your right then look to the east. Use the Line Launcher to zip to the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Scarecrow character trophy).

Arkham WestGrapple onto the roof of them Medical Facility and go to the northeast edge of it. Look to the northeast and use the Line Launcher to reach the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Batwing character trophy).

Now enter the the connecting tunnel to Arkham North which technically is still Arkham West, but barely. Go into this connecting tunnel and climb onto the horizontal air ducts then look at Arkham North. Use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the breakable wall here and then Grapple up to this little room to grab the Riddler Trophy (this unlocks the Invisible Predator challenge map).

Medical FacilityGo to the north end of the Medical Foyer and use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the breakable wall while facing south. Hop into this alcove and Scan the Chronicle of Arkham.

Enter the Sanatorium and use the Batclaw in the northeast corner to pull down the vent cover on the upper wall. Grapple in here and pick up the Riddler Trophy.

Head to the X-Ray Room and hop up onto the roof of the middle office. Now look west and use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the breakable wall. Grapple into this alcove and Scan the Chronicle of Arkham.

Head north to the Surgery Room and use the Cryptographic Sequencer to disable the security barriers just to the left of the entrance. Go up the stairs and pick up the Riddler Trophy.

Now go west to the Patient Observation room. Use the Batclaw on the eastern wall to pull off the vent cover. Climb through the vent and pick up the Riddler Trophy in the room at the end of the vent.

Use the vent above the elevator doors in the Sanatorium to enter the elevator shaft and drop down to the lower level.

Are you going to take your hat off to Harley, Bats?
Crawl through the vent closest to the base of the elevator shaft to enter Secure Access. From this vent system, drop into the locked office that you"ll find is plastered with pictures of the Joker. Scan these pictures and cluttered desktop to solve this riddle.
Go to the main area of Secure Access and use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the wall above the observation window. Climb through your newly created hole and drop into the room and pick up the Riddler Trophy on the gurney (this unlocks the Shock and Awe (EXTREME) challenge map).

Use the Cryptographic Sequencer to disable the barrier to the south. In this office you"ll find Riddler"s Patient Interview Tape #4.

Return to the Experimental Chamber where you were first introduced to Bane. Step into the room in the middle (where Bane was kept) and pick up Riddler"s Patient Interview Tape #5.

PenitentiaryGo to the southern corridor of the Main Cell Block and find Generator Access to the east. Use the Line Launcher to zip across the electric water and then Scan the Chronicle of Arkham.

Now make your way to the Guard Room to the far west of the Penitentiary. Go to the southern room here and then Grapple on top of the vent above. Use the Ultra Batclaw to pull down the breakable wall directly to the north on the opposite side of the room then use the Line Launcher to zip across. Pick up the Riddler Trophiy (this unlocks the Invisible Predator (EXTREME) challenge map).

When is something right in front of you, but still hidden from you?
From the small upper office to the north, look south with Detective Mode on and you"ll spot this question mark across the way. Line up the body with the dot then Scan it to complete this riddle.
Now use a Batarang to destroy the control panel which controls the fans in this room. With the fans back on, it"ll be safe to drop into the once gas filled room.

Prometheus, Arkham guards" most wanted and most hated.
Drop into the room below you and look to the east to find a bulletin board. Go into first-person view and Scan the wanted flyer of Prometheus to solve this riddle.
Go to the southwest corner of the Guard Room destroy the breakable wall in the shallow water. Wade through the water behind the wall and Scan the 23rd Chronicle of Arkham. Now, the final Chronicle of the Arkham will not appear any where on your maps. It"s a bit of the riddle in itself. To solve it, revisit the Security Control Room to the far south. Head up into the small raised office in the middle and Scan the circular writing on the floor to find the final Chronicle of Arkham.

Party PooperParty Pooper
Defeat all of Joker"s henchmen that are standing by the entrance to the Visitor Center for his big party. They will not attack you until you hit one of them first. Defeat all the outside and inside to earn this Achievement/Trophy.
 

When you are ready to face the Joke, head to Arkham West and visit the Visitor Center of the Penitentiary. You"ll find a few Blackgate thugs standing outside the Joker painted entrance. These enemies will not attack you unless you attack them first. Even the lineup of about 20 goons inside the entrance won"t attack. However, there is an achievement for defeating them all. So if you are interested in getting an extra achievement or trophy and are up for a good tussle, by all means, start a fight with these gents and defeat them all, inside and out.

Proceed through the door at the end of the hallway. The game will put you into a mandatory first-person view. Walk straight ahead and up to the glass at the end. The Joker will speak to you for a few moments and then trigger an explosion. After the dust settles and Batman gets back on his feet, step through the hole the blast made, then go through the door on the right. Approach the mound of bones to trigger a scene with the Joker.

After the scene, you"ll face off against two Titan Henchmen and a horde of normal thugs all at the same time. This can be very overwhelming. Focus on keep your distance from the titans to force them to charge at you through the lesser foes. Of course, while you wait for this to happen you"ll need to fight off the Blackgate Prisoners nearest you.

Your overall goal here is to get onto a titan"s back so that you can ride it around and hit the others with his flailing arms. So keep your eyes on the titans while simply countering the goons. Don"t get too swept up into the combat against the lesser foes, as you want to be focused on watching the titans and always ready for when the titans charge. As soon as you see one begin to charge, Quick Batarang him then dive out of the way. This will blind him and he"ll run into the wall afterwards, becoming stunned. Ignore everyone else at this point and rush the stunned beast and melee him him until he drops to one knee. Hit the Strike button to hop onto his back and then use the direction stick to navigate the beast around so that he hits the other enemies. If you are having a hard time control the titan, try just holding up on the left control stick and then moving the camera around with the right. Basically, move the camera around so that who you want to hit is always centered. This should make controlling a titan slightly easier.

Once you are tossed off the titan"s back, repeat the process of keeping your distance and then waiting for them to charge. Take down both titans and all the enemies here to complete this area and trigger another scene.

BOSS: Joker
The Joker will infect himself with the titan juice and grow into Titan Joker. Batman refuses to give in to the titan serum and injects himself with the antidote. Batman doesn"t need powers to defeat the Joker. He"s lasted this long without them, no sense giving in now.

The fight begins with Batman in the rooftop ring with Titan Joker. The problem here is the fact that Batman cannot go hand-to-hand against Titan Joker. Focus on evading Joker"s long arms and fingers as he swipes at Batman. Dive out of the way and try to sty along the edge of the ring, as far away from him as possible at all times. Eventually Titan Joker will jump onto the platform in the background and send in some normal thugs for you to fight. Combo, Counter and do everything that got you this far into the game to take out this wave of goons. When the last one falls, quickly equip the Ultra Batclaw and target the back of Titan Joker, who, if you"re lucky, will be facing the other way. Shoot him in the back with the Ultra Batclaw and then pull him down from from his perch. Titan Joker will slam onto the ground and his hands will be lodged into the floors. He"s momentarily stuck. Run up to him and punch him in the face three times. If he"s not facing the other way when you finish off the last goon, or if you try to pull him down before you finish off the remaining goons, he"ll just send in another wave of thugs for you to defeat before you can try to yank him off his perch again.

At this point the process repeats. Titan Joker will wander around the ring swinging at you while you try to avoid him. He"ll then jump up onto the raised platform and call in more goons. This wave of enemies will feature some knife-wielding foes and a few stun baton-carrying ones. Keep an eye on them and deal with them each accordingly. After you defeat this second wave, use the Ultra Batclaw again to pull Titan Joker down, and then run in for another combo to the face.

For a third time, Titan Joker will again walk around the ring attempting to hit you with his wide swings, then hop onto the back platform and send another wave of enemies after you. Be careful during this wave, as the thugs will attempt to open the gun locker on the back wall. If you hear the locker"s alarm going off, get over to the thug trying to open it as fast as possible and stop him from doing so. The last thing you need right now is a gun in play. Defeat all these enemies and then pull Titan Joker down one last time. Doing so will trigger the final scene of the game.
 

If you still have Riddles left unsolved, don"t worry. After the credits you"ll be brought back to the menu. From here you can select "Continue Story" and you"ll be able to freely wander around Arkham with all your gadgets.
