
When Activision merged with Vivendi (forming Activision Blizzard) back in July of 2008, it forced Vivendi to drop a number of projects in development that Activision had no interest in taking on -- including Leisure Suit Larry: Box Office Bust, the latest entry in the venerated series of "adult humor" adventure games. But don"t fret, fans of lowest-common-denominator antics: Codemasters has come to the rescue and announced they"ll publish the game in April for the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 (via Joystiq).
According to Codemasters" description, Box Office Bust follows Larry Lovage, nephew of the "original Larry," as he tries to figure out why a rival movie studio always seems to know what Uncle Larry"s own studio is up to. This will involve exploring an open world filled with hilarious parodies of real movies, such as "Bytanic, Beefcake Mountain, and Horror Coffin." Ah, yes -- more of that classic, patented brand of Leisure Suit Larry humor. And to think, we almost would have never had a chance to play it...
