Duke Nukem Forever won't be hitting retailers anytime soon -- if at all. But if you're hunting for some way to cope with this hellish, Duke-free reality, then you may want to have a look at the Xbox Live Marketplace next week.

According to a post on 3D Realms producer George Broussard's Twitter, the Xbox Live Arcade version of Duke Nukem 3D will be selling for just $5 (400 Microsoft points) during the week of February 22. That's a 50 percent discount on the classic shooter's normal price of $10 (800 Microsoft points).

This deal, like pretty much everything else in the Xbox Live "Deal of the Week" program, will presumably expire on the Monday following its introduction. Look for the discount to go into effect sometime early next Monday, February 22.
