We don't know a whole lot about Doom 4 at the moment, but there's one thing we're relatively sure of: Nine Inch Nails frontman and longtime id Software audio collaborator Trent Reznor will probably sit this one out.

Reznor revealed on the official Tumblr site for his new band How to Destroy Angels that there's currently nothing in the works between him and the folks at id Software. "I haven't been contacted by them and find it unlikely that I would have time at this point," he wrote.

The independent musician teamed with id to provide the music for the original Quake back in 1996. He also worked as an audio engineer on Doom 3, though none of Reznor's contributions made the game's final cut.
