Valve has teased the next Team Fortress 2 update on its blog, and it will be for the Sniper class. In the post, Greg Cherlin says this will be the "largest TF2 update yet, with multiple new maps and a bunch of gameplay tweaks." He also claims that a new update with tweaks for all classes should be done before the Sniper update releases. We have no word on what the Sniper unlockables will include, but chances are it won"t include bodily fluids.
Cherlin also finally gives some insight to the long-awaited Xbox 360 update. "If you"re wondering what"s taking so long," he says, "it"s mostly been around fitting it all onto the Xbox." He says Team Fortress 2 itself pushed the 360 memory limit, and the updates break them, so most of the delays have been from finding ways to fit the game"s updates inside those limitations. Players will be happy to know that Valve is also working on an update to stomp out the server cheating, which is due before the large class update for the console. They say "better late than never," and after this long without a peep many console TF2 players assumed it would be never.
