Now that we finally know the when and one-third of the what for next week"s long-awaited Team Fortress 2 Scout update, Valve is continuing to drop small nuggets on the content headed our way. Today"s update covers the Community Maps, which Valve has been packing into most of the major updates to the game. Next week we"ll see the addition of Watchtower (above), a map for the Arena game mode that has plenty of open space for Snipers to take advantage of. The pack will also include Junction, a fan-favorite Capture Point map that"s full of narrow corridors for Pyros, Demomen, or other ambush-happy classes. The maps were created by Joshua Shiflet and Sean Cutino, respectively.
The countdown to next week"s update still has four days to go, with only two more Scout weapon load-outs. We"re not sure what the surprises will bring on the other days, but we wouldn"t be surprised to see new maps directly from Valve or another of their hilarious "Meet the Team" videos. We"ll keep you posted.
