Is there enough room in Nintendo"s blue ocean for Zelda? Apparently so, because that"s the approach they appear to be taking with the forthcoming Spirit Tracks.
There"s only a passing mention of the DS game in Nintendo"s 2009 fiscal results (via Kotaku), but it seems like it may be telling. Nintendo says it will "appeal to a wider age group of people, and will launch in the latter half of the year."
To this point, Spirit Tracks doesn"t look all that different than Phantom Hourglass, save that it has a train rather than a boat. Who knows though, there"s a lot we still don"t know about this game.
