And today, in a Nintendo press conference, Iwata officially confirmed that and a couple of other details concerning connectivity between the two systems.
The details, as is typical with Nintendo, were scant, but Iwata did say that the two systems could basically be used to compliment one another. For instance, the Nintendo DS could be used as a controller for the Wii (I’m thinking, for instance, with Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles and maybe even the just announced Pokemon Battle Revolution). And, even more interesting, that DS games could be “enhanced” through the Wii. We don’t know exactly what that means, but it certainly whets our appetite for more information.
We’ll keep you informed of this developing story, so be sure to check back with Xploder soon.
