It looks as if the PlayStation 3 version of Bayonetta will soon be receiving a patch to fix one of the most common complaints levied against it. Joystiq reports that Sega of Japan will be releasing the promised patch to add an optional hard drive install tomorrow. The statement is only made for Japan, but it"s likely to hit all territories at once in the weekly PlayStation Store update. Otherwise, we at least know they have a solution in place that should be brought here soon enough.
Our own review of the game noted some of the console disparities with the PS3 version. "After extensive time with PS3 and 360 copies of Bayonetta, I decided to score the 360 version higher than the PS3 game due to crisper visuals, a smoother framerate, and shorter loading times," Matt Leone wrote. While this patch won"t do anything about the graphics or framerate, the load times should be reduced, and that"s a start.
