Hello and welcome to the greatest guide that you will ever lay mortal eyes on!
Yeaaah! Okay, so maybe a slightly over-confident start to proceedings, but I
have good reason. Myself and Glacoras have worked tirelessly to bring another
Professor Layton FAQ into existence. This makes me very happy and very pleased
with myself.

So yeah, we always intended to write Diabolical Box guide as a follow up to
our wildly successful Curious Village FAQ (http://www.gamefaqs.com/portable/
ds/file/936050/57122). Unfortunately, since Glacoras was waiting for the UK
version of this game, we didn"t have this out as close to the release date as
we would like, but what ever.

Last time out, I had great fun co-authoring with Glacoras. We knocked the whole
thing up in a couple of weeks and it was just a enjoyable experience.  He"s a
great guy and a good FAQer too, so if you haven"t already, then check out some
of his (and my) other works by following the links below.

Hello everyone and welcome to my second co-authored Guide. During the creation
of mine and TrulyDexterous" first co-authored guide, we discussed writing this
guide when the game came out in both the UK and US. Enjoying the experience of
writing with TrulyDexterous with the last guide, I jumped at the chance and we
decided that we would obtain different versions (me with the UK version) to
allow the same help for the UK and US versions of the game.

Again, I would recommend writing a guide with another user if you do not think
it will be completed by yourself. I enjoyed it last time and I am enjoying it
this time around as well.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy playing this game and reading this guide as much as I
have enjoyed playing this game and writing this guide.

        the handle first. This means rotating it 180 degrees.

           see any mirrors attached to the statue.

        3) It has been converted from a statue to a fountain.  The bowl
           collects enough water to make this eye trick work, cutting the
           letters in half and reflecting back the correct answer.

        4) If you can not figure it out yet, write out the numbers "1", "2"
           and "8", get a mirror and reflect the top half back on itself to
           view the correct answer.

HINT  : Here"s a tip. Don"t just assume that the red area is the space between
        all of the flower beds. The area actually includes the bottom bed as
        well. For some reason I overlooked this the first time I tried the
        puzzle.

        Draw a square than encases the flowerbed but touches it on every side.
        The top corner of the square will eat into a quarter of the area
        between the beds. If you have three other corners then you can fill
        then entire inner area. Basically the total size of the red area is
        equal to the size of the square.
