Could there have been any doubt? Final Fantasy VII on the PlayStation Network is a hit, garnering more than 100,000 downloads in the past two weeks.
According to Joystiq, that makes it the fastest-selling PlayStation 1 title on PSN so far. We"ll see whether that"s enough to spur Square Enix into releasing its other 32-bit Final Fantasies, or even Xenogears. The latter has been available on the Japanese PSN since last year.
In the meantime, Sony has announced that Wild Arms 2, Mobile Light Force and Spec Ops: Stealth Patrol will be joining the growing the suddenly robust PS1 library. And there"s more where that came from -- Capcom has already said they"ve got plans to release a large number of titles on the service.
