PlayStation 3 owners who pick up Prototype may find themselves hitting a bug before they even start a game. According to Joystiq, an error comes up that says players have insufficient hard drive space when they try to install the game, but there is a workaround.
Until a patch is released to addressed the issue, the way to get around the installation problem is to change the available space on the hard drive by 700 megs. That could entail installing or uninstalling other games, downloading demos, or adding other media such as MP3s.
After that, insert the Prototype disc, and it should install. The Prototype devs say they are taking this issue "very seriously," and are working to revolve it as soon as possible.
