After only being shown in trailer form at yesterday"s Ubisoft press conference, Assassin"s Creed 2 was played for the audience at today"s Sony press conference. With a release window of holiday 2009, the game has you playing a character who didn"t start off as an assassin. As a result, he"ll need some help -- and that help comes from friends like Leonardo da Vinci who will build inventions to help you out, such as his flying machine (which was shown in action).

AC2 will feature some connectivity with the PSP"s Assassin"s Creed: Bloodlines. By playing the latter, you"ll be able to unlock six exclusive weapons for use in AC2.
