While diehard fans around the world still dream about a fabled Final Fantasy VII remake, it looks like they"ll at least get to play the original on their PlayStation 3 and PSP soon. One Last Continue reports (via Kotaku) that the Electronic Software Ratings Board has posted a listing for Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation 3 and PSP, suggesting a PSN re-release is incoming.
FFVII recently received a PSN release in Japan, so it"s not a surprise the game would eventually come out in North America. Unfortunately, the ESRB is not in the business of setting or revealing release dates, so there"s no word yet on when to expect the game to be available. Hopefully Sony will find time to get around to it at E3 -- perhaps announcing a surprise release next Thursday? Hey, we can hope.
