While most people are still waiting for Nintendo to release the Wii in any color but white, the Queen of England apparently rates a new color all by herself -- gold.

It was publisher THQ who passed along the gold-plated Wii to the royal family, along with a copy of BIG Family Games.

"The Royal Family is arguably the most important family in the country so we felt that they had to have a copy of the new game," said THQ product manager Danielle Robinson.
