Developer Harmonix opened the doors to their exclusive preorder site for The Beatles: Rock Band today, allowing fans of the Fab Four their first glimpse of the custom instruments designed specifically for the game. Featured are images of John Lennon"s signature Rickenbacker 325 guitar (pictured above), as well as the Gretsch Duo Jet guitar famously wielded by George Harrison (shown below).
These two wireless guitar controllers will be sold for $99.99 apiece, and are set to launch on September 9 alongside The Beatles: Rock Band premium bundle -- a $250 package including a Hofner bass, Ludwig-branded drums, and a microphone with a stand. Pricing for the standalone guitars in continental Europe and the UK will be 99.99 euros and 89.99 pounds, respectively.
The good news? Regardless of which Beatle is your favorite, you"ll have a shot at their signature instrument this fall. The bad news? Collectors will have to drop upwards of $450 for the full set of faux Beatles instruments. Pretty steep, even for the most irrational of Beatlemaniacs, eh?
