It"s been months since we last saw a new, fully-fledged Team Fortress 2 class update as Valve wrapped up development on Left 4 Dead in the second half of 2008. Scouts will be getting the update treatment very soon though, with Robin Walker writing on the official TF2 blog that Valve is "just about done with the Scout pack" and that both designers and coders are already at work on the next update.
Valve still isn"t ready to reveal what new equipment the Scout will have at his disposal. But the only thing left to be done, according to Walker, is some final artwork -- I"m not really sure where this one falls in Valve Time, but I"ve got my fingers crossed it"s very soon.
In the meantime, an update is scheduled to be released today fixing some unspecified bugs and exploits, as well as fixing the damage and increasing the slowdown effect of the Heavy"s unlockable minigun, Natascha. Also scheduled for this week is an update that will change the way unlockables are stored; Steam Cloud will remember what setups you use so that you won"t need to bother tinkering with what weapons you want equipped when playing on multiple computers.
